The Rug Shop

Popped into store looking for a rug. Initially spoke to the son who was extremely helpful and lovely. Showed us a number of rugs and we pretty much had picked a rug. Asked the simple question is that the best price. Father who appears to be the owner asked me “why. ” I replied, “I like to bargain. ” Then he said he would give a life lesson and he needed a good reason to bargain. I walked out and then he said to my wife, “your mate has left you better leave too. ” At no stage were we rude or disrespectful to both of them. All he had to say “no that is our best price. ” We we’re buying the rug until the dad walked in. We’re in our 50’s and don’t need to be patronised by having a ‘life lesson. ’ Will not be back.
