The Q - Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre reviews
39The Q is a cosy theatre where the whole stage can be seen from every seat, even the higher vantage points. There's even a fantastic Italian restaurant called Villa Olivo just 50 metres away down Blacksmith Lane. Had the best steak there.
Excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the work put into the Oklahoma play. I was impressed with the musical abilities and the over all effort put into bring the story alive. Well done. I will be looking forward to what comes available in the future. So happy to have been able to spend the evening at The Q.
The foyer has visual interest and enough space for a decent crowd during intermission and before shows, the theatre is well set up for small productions and smaller audiences, the seats are quite comfortable and the rows don't feel cramped. Navigating to your seat is quite easy, rows and seats are well marked
This is a nice local theatre. Even with all the renovations being completed around the complex, it was still easy to get a park in an adjoining block.
The seats are comfortable a good size with not too close, the drop between rows is enough you won't be looking at the back of a tall persons head.
All seats have a great view of the stage, and l love seeing shows here.
There is a small snack bar when you can pick up a drink or some nibbles.
Once again great show. Umbilical Brothers with family & friends. Alcohol was cheap too
We actually went to The B this time. Found the volunteers an absolute delight and the seats were very comfortable. The show was great The Two of Us - the songs of Lennon & McCartney
Love The Q - a fantastic intimate theatre with great performances. The staff are always lovely and super helpful and the shows are varied, but always great
Good seating in the entire theatre, easy to find parking (even with the construction work going on)
I have been to The Q many times and have seen some great shows. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Decent amount of toilets, good concession stand, reasonable seating. Inside theatre seating is very good with good sightlines.
Parking is currently (Oct 22) poor due to construction- leave extra time to find a carpark.
Great theatre! Easy to see from all seats and good vibe. Parking a bit tricky and pre show seating a bit limited, but all in all, a great venue.
Doors closed, sign indicates that the doors open from 1000 to 1600 hours, what a fiasco, Queanbeyan is certainly a disappointment, the signs are hopeless and misleading. I read, come for a nibble and nice drink, why, the doors are locked. After travelling I do not like the dark and unsafe area around a building site with no signs, the instructions say next to the bottle shop, yes I was verbally assaulted by the patrons driving through the bottle shop. UNSAFE AREA NO LIGHTING.
Went to the current production of My Fair Lady. Brilliant. Building in the area has restricted parking- get there early.
A very good centre for performing arts - just need more parking spaces and better signage to the Q from the Main road
Staff were friendly and helpful. Show started late to enable all patrons to be seated before the performance began. The show was GREAT. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.
One of the best experiences of the year!
Priscilla: Queen of The Desert.
Lovely staff and the performing crews they get in are top notch and lovely.
Sometimes you even get to meet and greet which is always a lovely experience!
10/10 would recommend this Venue.
A great theatre with excellent lighting and sound. The shop / kiosk is a little small given the 300+ seating capacity. Sure, there is building work going on at present, but there seems to be a desperate need for more parking in close proximity rather than relying on street parking.
Fantastic venue. Great staff. We dropped in here for a tour and I left my Beats in dressing room. Amazing manager Lyndell posted them back to Sydney! So grateful.
Great show Ruthless, performed well by all of the cast. It is a good sized theatre, quite intimate really. Refreshments in the foyer and helpful friendly volunteer staff.
