Place is in serious need of better project management and better internal communications. A plumber came down for an inspection in the morning and we agreed on the costs and they noted they will be back at 3pm in the afternoon to complete the job and unfortunately never heard from them. Had to call hours later only to note they could no longer make it. They rescheduled to tomorrow 11am and once again a no show and no call. Hours later I called up only to be once again rescheduled to 2pm and a different plumber would now be attending. No compensation for any of these delays whilst my burst water is running all that time and causing flooding. Plumbers themselves doing their best that they can but clearly the system is broken.

Very poor, unprofessional service! I called and made an urgent plumbing booking due to a burst bathroom pipe (water was literally spraying out of the pipe), I was advised the plumber would attend between 11 and 3pm. At 2: 36 the office called and advised that the plumber the job had been allocated to wasn’t coming today due to a family emergency and they needed to rebook to tomorrow? Ummm I have water leaking from the pipe – so much for ‘fast, affordable & reliable’ service! Given the time of day this has put me in a very difficult position because I will now have to pay ‘after hour’ call out fees – they made a stressful situation very more problematic. I wouldn’t use this service – they aren’t reliable at all!

On Saturday 5/12/20 I called this company to come & fix my broken shower mix tap because the water was flowing nonstop. They send a plumber & when he came & had a look he told me this is not a easy job we have to either remove some tiles or cut through the wall from garage & Chang the whole system because the tap is 15 years old & there won’t be any part available in the market & that will cost me $1,350.00 & they r not responsible for any other damage. I told him I’ll think about it because it didn’t sound right for me.anyway he just put the cap to stop the water & wanted to charge me $450.00. I told him this is a ripoff then he charged me $350.00 which wasn’t fair at all. On that evening I was talking to my brother & I told him what happened and he told me he will come & see if he can do anything, he came on Sunday & took photo of the tap went to the Bunnings & they gave him the part which was needed to be changed & it cost only $15.00 now my tap is working like a brand new. He is not a plumber he
actually is a dental technician, he didn’t break any tiles or cut any walls.
This makes me wonder what kind of business this company or the plumber who is working with them doing to poor people who has no ideas or other choices than just to trust them. The plumber he just lied through his eyes without feeling shame or guilt, he knew he could’ve fix it right away but he tried to play a game.
This is disgusting & I should call it pickpocketing people in need under the name of business

Rip off crooks. Avoid at any cost! Tried to charge me $400 instead of replacing $4 rubber. Request immediate payment before job done. Also known as "On Time Plumbing". "We don't charge per hour, we charge per job". You will end up in court guys.

Dodgy Plumbing Detectives should be their name. Tried to quote me $2950 to fix something that should only be $200. Unethical these guys do not have any shame to take your money and run. BEWARE!

Called the Plumbing detectives to fix a leaking water heater. They didn't even try to fix it, just said it needed replacing and quoted $3,500. I was sure it didn't need replacing so ended up calling Service Today plumbing company and they just put a new part in which cost a little over $300 and it works fine now.

Had these people come out to my fathers house and they charged him $1700 to put a regulator on the wall and did not fix compliance plate on wall like they are required to do. 18 months later its leaking gas do you think i can can them back out? 3 days in a row they did not show up now im calling someone else and i will just pay to get it fixed. Stay right away from this mob if you want it done properly.

Lebanese owner. Watch "A Current Affair. " These guys are scammers. Be very careful, especially if you're a woman or come from a non-English speaking background. They are predators.

This company targets the elderly, ripped off my 80 year old mother with replacing a tap in her bathroom and charging her $500. Cheap tap, and definitely not worth $500, should have been $175 max! Stay away!

Over priced RipOff merchants. They quoted my elderly mother $120 to install to screws in the wall! Then quoted almost $600 to replace the kitchen mixer and $240 to change the taps under the sink which just needed new washers (ps two NEW taps complete cost under $10). The attending plumber showed little regard and after calling the head office I was promised a call back but nothing. All in all a rude opportunistic operation and if you are silly enough to pay the price they will take your money.ps the job took 2 hours total (including a trip to bunnings) and cost under $50 in parts. Even if they charged $100 an hour and doubled the margin on parts that's $300 total - a long way from the quote of nearly $1000! BEWARE!

Very Honest and Trustworthy guys. They do a really good and neat job at a good price. Keep up the good work and don't worry about the haters and the competitors you guys are the best.

Avoid. Business model where a different person comes to your door for each step of the process and often without important info handed over from the last person. They have polished salespeople at the start followed by substandard work. Overcharged, bullied to pay in full after they damaged my home prior to repairing it. Sent someone who did not fix the damage caused. Wished I properly researched them before booking, apparently the company has also been in the media for ripping off the elderly.

If I could give NO stars I would! Terrible service and communication between management and myself. They arrived 6 hours later than the time promised, after an initial assessment the day before. My family and I had no access to our only filtered drinking tap for almost 2 whole days. Job wasn't completed by them and another service had to be called in. Rude service and manners from receptionists, when I called for a refund and it was delayed for 2 days. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE!

Failed to arrive at the time they nominated themselves, failed to give over a phone a quota for a kitchen tap replacement, upon arrival the 'detective' quickly worked out the price for his service, 700 AUD for the replacement of two taps in the kitchen (around 35 AUD each at Bunnings, the cheapest ones) and it turned out to be just a 10 minutes job. Those guys are extortionists, not detectives. Never again. Since them I have done it myself which is a proof that it doesn't require a highly skilled individual.

Absolutely lying people. Had a call out for a plumber due to water heater not working after lightning night, he say its electrical problem so did not charge for the call out. The company call an electrician. The electrician did some test and quote us $2800 for a water heater system, if not a $195 call out fee. I asked the guy what the problem is, he refuse to say. Upon hearing this, he negotiate the price down to $2270 for the water system, told us our system was 36L (its actually 27L) and say we don't need so big, so 32 should be fine hence the price reduction. I asked him to put in writing the problem, and the quotation and I will seek second opinion. He immediately say no no, then reduce the call out fee to $45 (which is what the company quoted) and then left. We call our usual plumber, who quote he can get a water heater for around $1400 - $1700 depending on the size we want so we know the guy is out to exploit us. The guy is from Bankstown area. Beware, they are dodgy.

I’m not usually a person to write bad reviews about companies however I was absolutely disgusted at the price this company gave me for very simple fix to a leak under the kitchen sink. They came out and quoted me $520 and when they saw my reaction to the price, told me they were giving me a discount and reduced it to $350. I paid them them the standard call out fee of $45 and told them I would look elsewhere. I got another plumber out the next day and the job was fixed in a matter of 5 mins with a replacement of one piece and he charged me $65! I’m not sure whether this company is just expensive or if they were just trying to take advantage of me as my husband wasn’t home at the time, either way, it worries me how many people they rip off.

I had a plumber from the Plumbing Detectives come unblock a sink at 4pm today and got charged $285 for 5 minutes work. What a RIP off! Never again!
