The Pinnacle reviews
28Pinnacle Lookout. A truly spectacular view over the Tweed Caldera. With Mt Warning/ Wollumbin centre. Awesome place on a good day. In the top 10 best vistas.in OZ.
Love this area and views are spectacular. Easy walk from the car park but watch kods as the trail starts on the other side of the car park, and some people don't slow down along the main road through.
Easy 10 min walk in the forest. So quiet and spectacular 360 view of the crater and mountains. About 45 minutes drive from the villages (40 km drive in the park)
8$ cash park fee per car for 1 day - self check-in, so you need to have the correct cash amount on you.
We drive from Lilian Rock (camped at wadeville, 25$ unpowered) and the road was paved road for the beginning and then before the park road start to be gravel one but not so much bump so we were able to do it with our 2wd.
Road is passing through rainforest and you will find some toilet along the way to some viewpoints.
Simply stunning. Great spot to visit and really understand the topography of the land around Mt Warning and how it was formed 20 million years ago.
Short easy walk to a platform that gives an anticipated view that is quite the wonderwall. Worth the visit
Great place to visit and view over the northern nsw region across to Byron Bay and up to the Gold Coast in the Border Ranges National Park. Camp overnight at Forest Tops or down at the Sheepstation Creek campground and drive up to the lookout for sunset and sunrise. But bring a jacket because it can be a bit chilly if the wind is blowing.
There is a slight walk from the parking area, but it is worth every step. I will be bringing my drone on my next visit.
Such a magical place. Walks on all other trails take you back in time. Stayed at Sheepstation Creek campground where at night you see fireflies flitting around.
An amazing drive and equally amazing short walk with beautiful views back into NSW and dense rainforest.
Of concern is the extent of clear felling by the land owner.
Great view on a nice and clear sunny day. We could see to the ocean. We were the only ones there on a weekday. Great drive up and a short walk.
It is worth going, road from QLD side still closed after nearly 6 months Shame it is an amazing national park
Stunning views overlooking the Tweed Valley. An easy 200 metre walk from the car park. Access is via narrow dirt roads.
It's a beautiful Rainforest walk to the lookout, not hard at all. But when you get to the actual deck it takes your breath away. Absolutely magnificent. I'd often looked up at the Pinnacle and watched hell bent storms come over the top, from below, but nothing prepared me for what I witnessed from the top. 100%>. Nature in all her splender. Oh! Don't forget your binoculars! Enjoy.
This place is unreal. It’s a must if you’ve never been.
I love going out here with friends as the views are spectacular. The ancient trees and cold streams are magnificent.
Sure it may seem like is far but it’s a sensational adventure worth making the effort for.
Radical track becoming near vertical with drop offs hundreds of metres both sides - ancient volcanic chimney rises about 700 feet from the valley floor and joined to the escarpment by a saddle back ridge - a must see for the seriously fit ONLY
Gorgeous view after a decent drive went after a bit of rain so a few pot holes in about 20k of gravel road so slow going to get there not sure if maps allows for that in time calculations
Just magic absolutely beautiful best lookout i have
Ever seen so far in my life make sure its not a cloudy day other women all you will see is clouds
Beautiful look out. So high up you can see for miles. It is gravel road the entire way so be careful driving
Fantastic panoramic views from a well maintained viewing platform. Numerous camping facilities throughout the Border Ranges. Highly recommend a visit.
