The Pie Mechanic reviews
56Hands down best locally made pies, gluten free vege pie personally made within 30min. Mine was a goat curry! & Beef shin, onion with the best locally brewed stout. On top was home made chutney free of charge! Dessert gluten free choc & raspberry brownie & caramel slice all made freshly on premises. Amazingly beautiful Thankyou to the very friendly staff 10️
$10 a pie had moo and brew pie worst pie I've have hardly any sauce 3 bits of steak pie pastry stuck pie tin not worth the money
Quite seriously the most impressive pies I've ever tasted and I like to think I know my pies! Will rave about Pie Mechanics to whoever will listen
The greatest pies in existence. I've lived all over the East Coast of Australia - I mean it when I say these are the best pies ever. Although I don't live in New England anymore, I always drop by to buy some pies. My favourite is the venison or the host curry. AMAZING!
I come here every Thursday with my daughter before preschool. Coffee is always great, pies and other treats are amazing. Best pies in Uralla? Nah, best in the world.
Cute place. They made a mistake with our order but corrected it with an extra beverage. Well done!
Morroco chicken 10/10. Beef 9.5/10. I went 30ks out of my way to this place and is totally worth it. I'm a pie critic and this place is awesome
Pie was very tasty but had to go and get cutlery as my friends and I couldn't get the pie out of the foil case
Just passing through and was told by a local cafe to come here for a pie. So glad we did! Tried the pie special of the day - Four Seasons slow-cooked lamb, beetroot, feta, American lager - Wow! Big, satisfying chunks of lamb, and great flavour. A truly good pie. Went back and bought four more! Highly recommend
Do yourself a favour and stop here for the best pies, awesome sausage rolls and top-notch coffee as well. You won't be disappointed! All the sweet pastries also look great but as a diabetic I have to pass on those: (
Thankfully the former owner left who was running the business into the ground and was a complete crackpot. It's back to it's amazing self, as when it was first opened.
Pretty special pies served also the home made sauces and chutney were amazing. You have to do takeaway but there are seats outside. I did think $9.90 maybe a bit dear but must say we've never had such delicious pies. Coffee was excellent too.
What an amazing little bakery! We purchased six of their gourmet pies in a take home packs and they were delicious. The goat one was our top pick. We had two pastries for breakfast and a croissant and all were fresh and excellent quality.
Certainly a must stop on the New England highway.
We didn't take any photos because we were too busy wolfing them down.
We have visited this place many times and always enjoyed the many different types of pies.
My husband's pie and sausage roll was delicious.
Great pies in this quaint & trendy village on the New England Highway not far from Armidale
Had the Winter Goulash pie. Absolutely magnificent. Full of meat potatoes and flavour. Friendly staff
Awesome very tasty mushroom & lentil pie plus roast pumpkin pie. Reviews said worthwhile stopping here & definitely didn't disappoint
So thrilled to find vegetarian pie choices 1. At all; 2. That aren't just mixed vege mush or boring cauliflower and cheese. I had the mushroom and lentil and it was an absolute winner, crisp pastry, chunky mushroom filling, piping hot. Absolutely the right choice for a late lunch on a day of terrible weather.
Fantastic pie shop, craft sausage rolls with chutney was awesome. Coffee was also great. Worth a stop.
