Never have I had an issue until yesterday. The customer service was appalling, the attitude of the woman that served me was disgusting, it was like it was an inconvenience and effort to ask for something. No smile, rudest encounter I’ve ever had. Never will I buy here again

We bought some ribs today on our way through town when we saw your shop open. The kids loved them and so did the adults, thanks so much. Very tender meat and were really tasty.

Left empty handed as no meat was free of hormones or antibiotics & no support for regenerative farms.

Great butcher shop that stocks various interesting cuts. The dry aged beef was great. They also stock plenty of sauces, rubs and seasonings for a gourmet bbq meal.

I tried ordering online and there was no option. Then I tried calling to place an order for some meat for Xmas day and was told that I had to do it in-store. When I turned up an hour later I was told that there wasn’t any point to ordering and to just come in on Xmas eve. I was literally standing with money in hand ready to order and not risk missing out and basically was shown the door. It’s a gorgeous looking store, great branding and from the looks of it the meat probably tastes good but the customer service wash shocking and the lack there-of makes buying meat difficult.

Never will I buy meat from here again. The rudest customer service, and also has no issue whinging about you to other customers right in front of you because you can't make up your mind quick enough. Could also hear her whinging out the back because I didn't buy a meat I looked at. Stay away from this place and spend your money down the road.

I purchased a Scotch Fillet for me and a rump for the kids yesterday. I don't usually give reviews, but I've got to say.the Scotch Fillet was the best steak I've ever cooked.and the kids were very happy too. I'm normally an Aldi/Coles/Woolies meat shopper, but TPPB meat I cooked on the bbq last night was sensational. I'll definitely be returning.

Bought some sausages via Peachy Green Grocer and they were amazing! Will definitely need to go to the source for some more

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE. EXTREMELY RUDE & INCONSIDERATE OWNER/MANAGER.
WE WERE IN THE SHOP WHEN A STORM KNOCKED OUT THE POWER & HAD TROUBLE PAYING WITH CREDIT CARD.
OFFERED TO DO A DIRECT BANK TRANSFER OR HAVE A RELATIVE COME & PAY WHEN POWER BACK ON AS WE LIVE OUT OF TOWN IN REMOTE AREA.
WOULD NOT ACCEPT ANY ALTERNATIVE & WE LEFT EMPTY HANDED WITH $100 WORTH OF MEAT STILL SITTING ON THE COUNTER TO DO US FOR THE NEXT WEEK.
WE ALSO ASKED ABOUT A GENERATOR FOR BACKUP TO DO THE TILL, MEAT FRIDGES ETC, BUT WERE TOLD “NO WE DON’T BOTHER WITH ANYTHING LIKE THAT. ”- DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THEIR MEAT IF POWER GOES OFF FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME.
HAVE SHOPPED REGULARLY AT THIS BUSINESS SINCE THEY OPENED.
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED IN THEM!

The meat was already weighed. Some items had price labels on them, and we couldn’t even pay for those, which we could have done with cash. All we got from owner & staff was “it’s not our store policy, it’s not our store policy”. All we did was try to offer solutions so we could have our meat, but they just weren’t interested. Just very poor customer service no matter which way you look at it.

Had a medical excemption too not wear a mask, due to breathing issues, and followed all the government orders and these guys would not serve me, these are the type of people that run this shop deprived me of basic human rights, I will spend my money elsewhere, and hope the public does the same BAD BUSINESS

Staff very friendly and helpful good quality meat for reasonable prices a good variety of products.

I don't often review businesses but if it is deserved i will.
Pickled Pig- lovely staff, great option for online ordering or in-store, nothing is an issue, wide range of produce.
Cessnock is extremely lucky to have a butcher shop of this calibre.
Hands down Pickled Pig is where it is at. Highly recommend!

Pickled Pig- excellent service, wonderful meat selection, fantastic advice and handy tips to cook the perfect piece of meat! If you ask my youngest daughter best chicken nuggets hands down! Will not go elsewhere- almost feel like a family member when I enter the store- keep up the fantastic work! Highly recommend you will not be disappointed!

I don't usually write reviews but I thought I would this time. I have ordered a few times from this butchery but twice now my order has been wrong. The second time been made to take my whole order back into the shop. I ship online so I skip the instore line but still a mix up twice making me go back into the shop.

Totally amazing. Huge range of everything & I mean everything. We will be going back for more goodies
