The Pantry Manly

Granted we only had coffee, on the 30th December without a booking. We didn't get a window seat due to a reservation that didn't turn up while we were there. Anyway, the coffee was decent, and the staff seemed nice.

Food was average and over priced.
Rose was prefect but overpriced.
Cocktails were below average and overpriced.
You're paying for the view and service.

The Pantry is always our go to place to lunch, right on the beach, whenever we visit Manly. The staff, go out of their way to ensure a great experience. They are so helpful, their prompt delivery of incredible food is amazing. If you require a window table, you must book at least a week in advance, otherwise you must be prepared to wait for cancellation, which is fair enough.
Either way, the views are incredible, the atmosphere is great.

Travelled to Manly for a most enjoyable lunch with 2 friends. We were seated at a table near a window and had that great view of the beach whilst enjoying our lunch and experiencing wonderful table service at The Pantry Manly. We will return soon.

Very nice place and well located with a direct view on the ocean of you are lucky enough to get one of the few tables which have the view.
Service is standard however the prices are very high and the quality of the food is very low. I would not recommend the place.

An expensive night out with average to good food. This is the second time I have dined at The Pantry. The first was before the pandemic and I recall the food and the service being much better. The service this time was good but not exceptional and the food was mostly average to good. The high point was the fresh oysters, fresh and sweet. The mushroom risotto was good but nothing to rave about. My King Prawn Salad however was a bit disappointing. A few prawns on a bed of salad greens, small pieces of Halloumi and no discernible dressing was not good enough for around $40. Next time I visit mainly I'll try one of the other beach-side restaurants.

Beautiful food, Beautiful location right on the beach.
Great vibe/serenity, rain hail or shine, sure it would also be awesome in snow.

The most beautiful location in Manly, right next to the sand and water. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner and coffee time. On the pricey side, but worth it.

Beautiful venue on the South Sydney Steyne waterfront.

Breakfast was excellent, something different and enjoyable.

Service is prompt and warm.

Definitely score a seat at the front for amazing views.

I am very disappointed with The Pantry. I took my wife here as a special birthday surprise and let them know on reservation that it was a birthday dinner thinking they might do something nice such as a card, song, greeting…literally anything, but nothing.
Upon paying for the meal at the end of the night and the waiter asking how everything was, I was honest and said I was disappointed they didn’t do anything for birthdays after I requested it.
Her response was that they do a sparkler in the desert if we had ordered one…. We hadn’t ordered a desert, opting instead for the desert wine.
They never mentioned this to me before hand, even after specifically requesting it! Anyway, the food was nice I guess, just hugely disappointed with this as like I said it was a special occasion and I am left feeling rather bitter about being told “oh yes you could have had a sparkler” at the end of the night, after I had bloody asked for one when I made the reservation.

Gorgeous location and food, great choice for a special occasion, and they even have a dedicated menu if you let them know you are gluten free / coeliac - makes for much peace of mind and delicious food!

Came here due to rating by >1000 people. Now thinking probably due to the view than food itself.
Tapas were great.
Mains were mediocre, just don't mash up together.
Felt like a robotic cooking style.
Service were kind and amazing.

Cozy ambience with fantastic views would be probably more enjoyable during breakfast or lunch.
However dinner service was less crowded.
The menu is consist of smaller plates, good for sharing with seafood food or grill variety, but some dishes are way too small.

Great spot on the beach at Manly. We tried a few Tapas options, and would definitely recommend the chilli and garlic prawn and duck/Shiraz patte. Friendly service and great views!

I could not recommend this venue enough after our wedding reception.

The whole booking process was seamless and communication between myself and the staff was consistent. All of my enquires were answered promptly and it seemed that all of my requests were tended to.

The staff on the day were very accomodating, friendly and professional and looked after our guests. Drinks and food came promptly.

The food could not be faulted. The set menu gave us a variety of options allowing everyone to pick what they wanted. The portion sizes were amazing.

The venue was perfect for our wedding reception and a group size of 30. The view from the tables and the amenities in the venue were great- the ocean backdrop was a perfect setting.

I honestly could not thank all of the staff who helped in the lead up and those that were there on the day. We will definitely be coming back to celebrate here again and highly recommend this place to everyone who asks!

Great little restaurant. Not a large area but the view makes up for it. Menu is not extensive but quality is. Worth booking.

Great location, delicious food, and friendly staff. Only downside is that you almost always have to book to get a table as a lot of people seem to know about the quality of this place. We ordered the French toast and the salmon Benny. Would definitely recommend both, but the French toast only if you have a sweet tooth.
