The Meat Man

I called ahead to check that a lamb shoulder was available - it was. Went and didn't receive any assistance from the lady who just said 'it's in there'. Searched the entire cold room to find the one and only piece of meat that said 'shoulder of lamb' and paid $40 for it. Went to cook tonight for 12 hours and my husband said 'that's not a shoulder, it's an unfrenched rack of lamb'. Given I had been planning for days on cooking a lamb shoulder that always works out well for me, had 12 guests coming the next day, and I had no idea how to cook a rack of lamb, this caused a lot of stress. I had my recipe down pat and should be able to trust literally a 'meat man' to tell me what a cut of meat is. Now I have a half-seared unfrenched rack of lamb with a huge amount of fat and bone and no idea what I'm doing with it to feed my guests tomorrow. So disappointed.

Greasiest sausages and rissoles ever. Both TOTALLY INEDIBLE. DO NOT BUY THEM. Even our dog would not eat them. NO FAT FREE MEAT AVAILABLE.

Delivered straight to your door, high praise to our delivery man PETE, absolute treasure to deal with very polite, lovely mannerism. Customer service lovely people to deal with. Finally a butcher with reasonable pricing and amazing meat. Not to mention how wonderful the staff are. I asked for my steak to be sliced just how hubby likes it & nothing was a problem for them. Having tried several butcher's in the area I am so happy I was told about this place - hands down the best butcher. I will definately be back for my weekly shop.

Good choice of meat always a few new tempting flavoured or marinated meats everytime i visit. Good price. Specials available all the time. Nice friendly staff. I always enjoy taking my son in the freezer room to pick out our meat. A small memory that I'm sure will stay with him (kids are weird like that).

I find the chicken breast here is always good quality (supermarkets and other butcher tend to have a tough fibres texture).
Buying in bulk is great to stock the freezer.

Rubs and seasoning of all sorts available. Spit for hire also available.

We hired their spit roast for a backyard party. At $15 a head it was great value, the meat allocation per head was massive, with so much left over. The staff were very helpful with the booking and advise on cooking the meat and the meat was delicious. The spit was very clean when we picked it up as well.

Wowww if you haven't been you should, pretty amazing. All cuts of meat and more. If you love to BBQ they have what you need to bring out those flavours aswell and staff were friendly & kind. Just one thing I noticed some people not checking in with QR Codes. Could spoil it for those trying to do the right thing?

We have just sent meat hampers to some of our staff at home that can't work due to the lockdown. Kimberley and the team at The Meatman were brilliant from the ordering to the delivery and tracking of the hampers- highly recommend. Value for money and quality is exceptional.

A great place! Good range of meat, friendly staff and willing to cut up larger cuts of meat.
Just remember to bring a warm jacket for the walk in freezer (they do have some if you forget)

Overrated. If you've never been anywhere where they sell whole cuts of meat i can understand you being excited. The prices i beat within a 20 minute drive. The service for what is was is attentive to the point if you are at the register theyll all stop what they are doing and help. If your next in line or just want to buy and go its a bit frustrating.

Very good quality meats and small-goods at a reasonable price. Quick delivery even during these busy times. Will be back again.

Matt and his team have been supplying us out here at Smoke n Grill, Picton for a while now, nothing is ever a problem and have ALWAYS given us GREAT service and quality products. ️

Don't Bother!
Bought 1/2 Vealer and got them to cut it for me, WORSE MISTAKE!
I was left with mince, sausages, bones and all the prime cuts missing. Sorry they did leave me with 1/4 of the tenderloin.
Almost $700 later and I'm back to my old butcher having to buy rib eye, backstrap and sirloin.
