The Lodge Jamberoo

Love taking friends and relatives to the Lodge. Had a relaxing stroll around the grounds before lunch. Especially love the creek that runs through the property.

Cannot fault this place. Staff, rooms, incredible venue, stunning pool area and food was lovely. Will be back for sure, it was one of the best wedding venues I have encountered.

I have had the pleasure of retreating to the Lodge at Jamberoo 3 times in 3 months! We just love the place. Great for parents and kids alike so much to keep the kids entertained and the adults just love the amazing restaurant! It's the best kept secret!

We had the most wonderful 2 night getaway at The Lodge! The service was friendly and helpful. The surroundings are stunning and we really enjoyed the delicious meals that we had in the Champagne Garden and in the restaurant. The restaurant is so inviting and the decor is super funky. The pool was a lovely place to enjoy a cocktail in the afternoon. The room was simply and tastefully done and the beds were comfortable. I believe that a room upgrade is the next renovation on the plans and this will just make the stay even more lovely. Thank you for a wonderful little time away at your beautiful lodge. I can't wait to come back!

Always happy to stay here with my family but the new owners makeover is perfect. Great stay. Highly recommended. Summer or winter. We'll be back.

We really loved our week end at the Lodge! Friendly staff and lots to do (pool, hot tub, sauna, games room, gym, bikes, tennis, fire pits, activities planned by staff etc.) Restaurant and bar on site. We can't wait to come back!

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night for a date and it was like being in a daycare. There were so many families with children running around, shrieking, blasting movies and games from iPads. The staff were all really young and no one said anything to the families about trying to be considerate of other patrons. We ended up moving to a table outside but then more children showed up there running around us. There were a few other couples who came like us, all dolled up thinking we were going to a nice date venue. We lasted two hours but the other couples had left before us, totally not the right vibe for a date night.

Recently stayed at the Jamberoo Lodge and this place was absolutely amazing. The location of the lodge is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, situated in a quiet and peaceful corner of NSW Illawarra. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very well maintained, neat and loved the overall layout. Overall, the Lodge offers more than enough to keep everyone relaxed and occupied during their stay. The Jamberoo Lodge is perfect for individuals, couples, families and is even the perfect venue for holding a wedding. 100% recommend stay here, my partner and I will be back for sure.

What a great place! The renovations were fantastic and made the atmosphere so entertaining and comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant twice and enjoyed both nights. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Great accomodation, great service, great staff. We will be back.

Great location and amazing amenities
We loved our stay here and would come back. We understand that the owners are new and to improve the service we had major issues with the breakfast service. The staff seemed very disengaged and the service was slow. Customer service makes people come back the owners were so friendly. Also to please customers having an experienced coffee barrister is recommended. Thanks again!

Friendly staff, made me feel welcome instantly and answered any questions I had. Beautiful grounds, especially the pool set up! Enjoyed being able to work out in the morning and use the sauna and steam room after. Cocktails were delicious too! Absolutely stunning place for a wedding!

We have been here for champion party on 27th of Jan 2023, its a very bad service for food which is so important, our kids were hungry we were here from 5 to 8 pm with a rude manager when we put food and drink order from 5 wi did not return any thing till 8: 20, this is very bad management and I am going to put complaints about them. We were told to not barbecue when even kitchen was not working and had no breakfast, lunch or dinner.a very bullishit service
this was a very good resort and I have been here for the last 6 years but this tear was the worst service that I have been receiving in Australia

Positives: Location and restaurant were great. Amenities and shared facilities were also nice.

Negatives: Room were not up to scratch. We arrived and the front sliding door fell off, we were like ok "these things happen". There was a musty smell in the room. Room just looked tired with mould in bathroom, stains on quilt and a smoke sensor disconnected. My daughter turned on the water to have a bath and the water was brown. At this point we were close to leaving as we had booked for 2 nights. I told my wife to persevere and send an email. She did send an email and we received an out of office as it was the day before the Australia day public holiday. To date, we have had no response to our email.
Throughout the place, when we order coffees, in the restaurant and at the pool, the staff were really trying, but you could tell they were understaffed.

I understand there were new owner and trying improve the place, but the fact no one replied my wife email that was sent on our first night, has led me to writing this review. The Instagram photos did not live up to the hype. The place has real potential, but at this point I just feel like it wasn't worth the price we paid.

Keeping in mind there have only been open for 3 weeks the staff are lovely, pool is beautiful and restaurant/bar is decorated nicely. Just disappointing that there was no hairdryer, no powerpoint in the bathroom, no table in the room with a welcome booklet with mini bar menu prices, attractions around the resort and wifi password. Also would of been good to have a place to heat up the kettle. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the waiter that looked after us was beautiful and handed my allergy perfectly by checking with the kitchen. All food was great.

It’s a beautiful space, very nice facilities. Only 7 minutes drive to Jamberoo action park, which is amazing. Only one complain is about staff at restaurant, we had to remind them few times to clean plates from our table because table was getting really messy. And it was slow service. I understand place is new, so it’s not run perfect.yet. Over wise it’s had been beautiful time away. We definitely will be back again!

Lovely facilities, great little retreat, massive issues with service.restaurant staff rude, restaurant closes at 8pm very strange considering you have a captured audience. Food was very average, steak not cooked to what was asked and trout was over cooked.
NO breakfast served, considering you are in the middle of nowhere, again this is a standard service that should be offered in a regional hotel, we were told at check in that there are pastries and coffee served, no pastries.

Rooms are pleasant, found empty cereal container next to the fridge, cleanliness an issue, bed quite hard but was ok.
No hooks for towels in the bathroom, where do you put your towels?

So much potential with this cute resort, but needs, proper hotel management and staff seriously need some hospitality training.

The grounds are beautiful, and we had a lovely time on site, until it came time to sleep. We were in a room with 1 single bed and 1 double. The mattress on the double bed was as hard as the floor! We discovered this after reception closes at 5, so had to go searching for staff, as we weren’t actually given the after hours number when we checked in. After speaking to one of the managers (who we had to seek out after 40 minutes waiting in our room), we were simply told nothing could be done, as the contract cleaners must have removed the mattress topper, and they wouldn’t be back until the next day. At over $500 for the night, to have to pull a camping mattress out of the car and rotate beds through the night, just so we all got a bit of a sleep was pretty disappointing.
After we checked out, I sent an email (3 days ago), and have had no response. I appreciate that the place is newly opened, and there are going to be teething issues, but it would have been good to get some acknowledgement and a partial refund.
It was really disappointing, because as I said, the actual resort is beautiful, and we would have loved to have made it an annual getaway!

The property is beautiful, and hidden away with plenty of resort activities. Room was clean and spacious with good bathroom/shower facilities. Management were extremely friendly and provided us with plenty of recommendations for the area (which there is much to do besides the water park).

Stayed in a Queen and single lodge for 2 nights. LOVED LOVED LOVED the interior design of basically everywhere in this place.lodges, bar, bistro and games room were so aesthetic so hats off to the interior designer.immaculate lighting everywhere too so great for photos.the wedding reception and garden outside the bistro is just breathtaking too. Checking in and checking out came with no dramas and reception was just a 30 second walk away and very easy to contact.we had some trouble with our fridge and lighting but an easy fix because the staff are very attentive and close by. Heaps of families with kids staying here and everyone mingling together as well as the staff’s attitude makes it a very friendly welcoming vibe.they also have a very cute fluffy dog running around the place.pool was great but me and my friends were VERY disappointed the spa was not working during our stay and would have liked to know before booking but oh well. Rooms do not come with a microwave or kitchenette so we had to ask the bistro staff to heat up our meals and the morning girls were great and very helpful, except for one lady with dyed hair on our second night that gave me and my friends a less than enjoyable customer service stink eye for using their microwave for 2 minutes! Otherwise everyone here was super friendly and this was definitely the right choice to stay for our trip to jamberoo water park.ugh just so beautiful, and on top of that the views of the rolling hills and trees make this place feel so magical.

Really well appointed very clean, friendly staff, stunning property and great pool. Cant wait to come back to see what stage 2 and 3 of the renovation look like.
