The Langton Centre - Part of NSW State Health - South Eastern Sydney Local Area.
There are two main sections here:
•The Methadone (& other medications) Maintenance Clinic in the Upstairs which enter from South Dowling Street. It's easily recognisable by the white Stairs & Disability Ramp (see pic).
This section has the Dosing Room which is only open from 8: 00am to 11: 00am every day.
During weekdays you can attend after Dosing Hours (11: 00am to 5: 00pm) only by appointment usually to see the doctor, nurse, social worker, or reception.
The service is a free Government Service, so there is no take-away's provided, meaning you must attend daily (unless on weekly or monthly injections - new)
• The bottom section, with entrance on Nobbs Street does counselling, various groups, nurse, doctor, and psych check ups, for "Out patients detox", or "harm minimisation". This service is open weekdays from 9: 00am to 5: 00pm. But there is usually a time table for groups & other services.
There is also free Fit Packs & other using equipment to available as part of there harm minimisation services.
• And there is a 24 hour machine containing Fit Packs (fits, cotton, swabs, spoons, injecting water) near the Nobbs Street entrance.

• I like the staffs attitude as they are accepting of different peoples needs and that they realise we don't all travel the same paths.

My dear Lisa, where do I start.
I have been in counselling for a while, after my stint at rehab. I am now a successful business owner that said goodbye to the addiction. Lisa was with me throughout this journey, and every goal I have set with her has been achieved.
If you are not sure or feel embarrassed - don't be. Your counselor is the safest person to address the issue with, and help you get back on track.
I highly recommend Lisa to those fighting addiction - and remember, it CAN be done. I am the example.

Don't come here for any help! You're better off alone than dealing with them. The stuff are rude the doctor gives you the wrong information please don't go there. What they also don't tell you your name goes down in the hospital data base. So, every time you go to the hospital anyone can see you records that you been there. This place was okay 10 years ago don’t know what happened.

Langton staff are the most incredible people.
I've been to clinics all over Australia and this one has been on a different level altogether. They're single handedly responsible for so many positive changes in my life and towards life changing opportunity and care they provided me during my darkest days as an addict and domestic violence surviver.
Without the help of my caseworker Lachlan (and also Tom from the refuge down the road-Haymarket Foundation) I would still be homeless and a heroin addict suffering chronic depression, at the hands of a violent abuser, or dead. It takes a very special human being to be able to do what they do, for the amount of people they do it for.

I'm now back at school studying, I'm living happily in my own home, I'm clean/sober and even quit smoking cigarettes! My mental health is great. I'm a healthy (maybe too healthy) weight again haha. I respect myself and others. I stay out of trouble and away from anything unlawful. I eat healthy. Ive started spoiling my loved ones because I have money that isn't going on toxic substance abuse anymore.

The only thing left is to gain meaningful employment after I finish my studies.

Thank you Langton for helping me change my life for the better and being the support I needed so desperately. I truly believe I owe my life to you. ️️️

The staff used to be so friendly, helpful and supportive.the last three times I've been here, they give me dirty looks and are dismissive and rude.

I haven't always been the friendliest of clients, yet in due respects, The Langton Centre has been a Godsend for me. I now actually have a life, free of illicites and fully functioning. Thank you.

Used to practice at Langton in the noughties. Generally it was a good experience, with the exception of a bully
