After deciding I needed help I booked in a session after having been recommended this place by my doctor. I believed the month long wait for their next available session would be worth it little did I know the next 2 sessions would be cancelled due to the psychologist being sick. I understand this is not within their control but having to wait 4 months for an appointment is crazy - especially when I needed the help.

I then decided to switch to go see another person at IP. I was really happy with them and thought she was definitely worth the wait. However when I went to see her the second time, she asked me "is this your first session with me" which upset me so much. I was so open with her and everything I had been through but my feelings were instantly invalidated when she asked me this. Especially as I had told her I didn't have anyone else to talk to and she had agreed and stated this must be painful for me.

I have never written a review before but thought it was necessary considering this place is suppose to help people on their journey, instead of putting them back a step like it did with me.

A warm & soothing space, with compassionate and mindful staff and incredible practitioners. This place has had a huge, positive impact on my life and I’m grateful to have found them!

Impressed by the kind, helpful hardworking staff at the receptionist desk- the ladies there have helped make my experience much less intimidating and help me to feel more at ease when Im there. They seem to really care about what they are doing. Very refreshing- feels more authentic than other places Ive been.

From the experience my young adult daughter had today I would not recommend this place. The reviews have a common theme running through them and it is clear that the practice is a poor communicator, particularly around payment for sessions. To have your child call you in tears from a place that is supposedly there to help you with your mental health needs is very distressing and says it all. In addition to being distressed for my child, I discovered that the practice kept my credit card details on file worhout my authorisation. I pre paid my daughter's first session only as they would not book her in for her first session without pre payment. At no stage did I authorise my card details to be placed on file and yet they were! Very disappointing.

Staff are the most genuine bunch I’ve ever come across. Special shout out to Mary and Ash for being legends️

Please don't fall for the Perfect Match Promise sales pitch. I think you get matched with the next person available. You end up just paying for the trendy space and crystals - very disappointed.

The therapists here are great, but the front desk team really let the business down. Ive been coming here for 5 years with progressively disorganised and apathetic service.
Almost every time I have a session with my therapist, its immediately followed up by an awkward and unnecessary conversation about payment. Whatever bookings/payment system they have set up DOES NOT work. I still have to wait weeks for the correct paperwork to be sent to me so I can make my claim on medicare, even though they have my card and all my details on file.
Every email is replied to by a different receptionist with no idea about what you've spoken about with the previous one. Nobody seems to be keeping track of anything so the outcome is usually having to explain yourself several times to whoever is looking after you that time. They also don't keep track of how many sessions you're claiming on medicare so you also have to do that yourself too.
The added anxiety of having to deal with the front desk every time I come in to see my therapist really changed the way I feel about Indigo. They used to be a great holistic practice that I would recommend to anybody. Now I would cation anybody who is feeling fragile or are reaching out for the first time to get support for their mental health - try somewhere else for your own sake. The front desk team are perpetually overwhelmed and dealing with them usually outweighs the benefits of the 3-6 months wait they have now to see any therapists.

Really dissapointed with the lack of communication. I appreciate the pandemic has caused a significant strain on mental health services however after failing to get a response (I’ve been trying to book a consultation for at least 2 months now), I’ve decided to go elsewhere. A real shame given how forward thinking and holistic the company appear from their website!

After the session I ended up feeling worst about myself. I think it depends on the person you see, for me I Just felt like I wasn’t being listen too.

The psychologist was good and helped me move through a problem however the bookings and payment system is terrible. They have my card details and have consistently not taken payments on time. They take multiple payments at once, one time they took a payment 3 months after a session but didn't warn me they would do this. They have now said they incorrectly charged me for sessions and are asking for more money. Not really displaying a duty of care.

I've been visiting The Indigo Project for the better part of 4 years for both person psychology sessions and group courses/workshops. The community they've created is so welcoming and supportive, and the psychologists I've interacted with are friendly and warm despite your reasons for going.
As a small business they are doing a great job at supporting the current situation, even if it's not as quick as it has been previously, they are still kind and understanding to circumstances and work with you to get you the help/support you need.

Indigo Project is playing a big part in what I see as a slow evolution across many modern health-related fields. What functional medicine brings to traditional medicine and what 'School of Life' (the organization) brings to philosophy, Indigo Project brings to the field of psychology.

Beyond their traditional offerings, they run creative and original workshops & events that aim to make all of us more reflective, well-rounded and multi-dimensional. I’ve gone to ‘Listen Up’ & a few interesting talks (including one on the philosophy of tattoos) and found this place tends to attract interesting people worth meeting. I couldn’t recommend this organization enough.

At Indigo I feel safe. My therapist is someone I really connect with, and yet I get the sense that I would with most of the Indigo team. I used the online “find your match” service and thought that was brilliant. This practice prides itself on curating the best practitioners and I am grateful for that as it has made a huge difference to my life ️

My experience with Indigo Project was a stand out experience I did heaps of research before going too see them, I found the website very informative and clear. The main thing that stood out was the quality of the therapists. Highly recommend A+

Clearly from the reviews, I do appreciate the excellent work that any Psychologist working for Indigo would do, but getting hold of an appointment has been really painful. I have called the reception thrice in a span of 4 days, and they have in turn tried to contact the booking desk but in vain. I have also been promised a call back every time marking my request as urgent, but I haven't heard anything so far. I do want to avail Indigo's service but the bookings team aren't helping me do that. The one star is for the booking process and in no means reflect the actual treatment from a Psychologist working for Indigo!

My experience with The Indigo Project has been nothing but great. After being referred to The Indigo Project by a friend I was nervous (as always) about my first appointment, the moment I stepped into their space I immediately felt calm and comfortable. You can tell they really do care about matching you with a therapist that you feel comfortable and connected with, and you aren't 'locked in' to whoever you see first.

I had also been caught up in the mix up of phone lines when COVID started, however with a few follow up calls I managed to make an appointment for the next day. I would encourage anyone who doesn't get through and can afford to wait a few days for an appointment to keep calling. Other lines like Beyond Blue or Life Line are great if you need immediate help. The Indigo Project isn't just 'any other' practice and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a therapist.

Worst booking system! I dont know how you can run a system like this.

First time i called indigo receptionist was lovely and perfect. I understand waiting period etc.around over a month ago after my first session i put myself down for waiting list and booked a couple sessions 2 months in advance.
I got a message that there was an open appointment. Messages say to called the number on txt to secure your spot. I rung the number (weekend Saturday) and reception was clue less about the opening and just told me she would send an email to share my interest. I called again on sunday to ask if the appointment was secured and she said she couldn’t check because shes in an ofsite location. Made me think what is the point of an offsite if you cant book appointments in it. She assures me they’ll let me know monday morning if i got the spot. The appointment was for 1pm Momday. Monday Morning comes no call. I need to plan my day so i call up and receptionist is unaware of the email and was clueless to the situation she takes note of the appointment and said would call back. She Never does, 2hrs before the appointment i call up telling her not to worry. She was still clueless.
System is not working!
I get messages for new appointments availabilities and the one time i said yes via message No one replies to confirm if i have the booking it’s been 3 days now? !?
Now that we can do it on zoom i replied Yes on text and email and still havnt recieved any instructions.
I literally just received an email saying that That my appointment i booked 2 months in advance has been cancelled by me? !? I never asked to cancel.
I cant stress how unorganised the booking system is. Please fix it.this isnt the place to mess with peoples lives

I had a terrible experience with IP and I'm really disappointed with their services. I tried to book in for an appointment on MULTIPLE occasions, only to be ignored. I first sent an email to inquire about a session, no response. A few days later I called to follow up and spoke with Louise, who took my details and said someone would call me later that day, no one did. A few more days passed without communication and so, anxiously, I rung back. This time I spoke to Rachel, and expressed that this was proving to be quite stressful, due to the amount of failed attempts to book in. I mentioned that they were a mental health provider and should understand duty of care. Imagine if I'd been suicidal and this was my last attempt to get help, only to be ignored - what sort of message does that send? She explained that this was not how Indigo Project operated, and assured me someone would get back to me by close of business THAT DAY. I hung up, finally feeling some relief that help was coming except I was ONCE AGAIN ignored. I was shocked and so disheartened, but I waited a few days, as I knew they were busy. Still, no response came. Nothing. At this point it was just down right rude and disrespectful and I was done. A week went by and I finally got a follow up email (not phone call) that asked if I was still interested in receiving therapy sessions. I responded with a similar review as above, and informed them I would not be continuing with their services, due to the rejection I was subjected to. But I did ask that my email be passed on to whomever needed to see it, so that this didn't happen to someone else in the future. I got ZERO response. No acknowledgement, no apology, just ignored once again. I was truly in disbelief at the negligence. Indigo Project you had almost made me give up on therapy. I am fortunate that my support system is strong, and encouraged me to go elsewhere, otherwise I'm scared to think what would have happened. Shame on you.
