The Good Dentist

I started the process of having a dental implant this week having had a major tooth extracted last year. Now being an ultra bag of nerves when it comes to anything dental, it took me some months to pluck up the courage to go ahead with this procedure. Only reason being is that all the staff at The Good Dentist are incredibly supportive and reassuring, and they provided clear information in regards to all steps of the process. The procedure itself was much easier and quicker than expected with no pain. Garreth was patient and put me at ease during the session. The implant is healing nicely and am looking forwards to the crown being fitted. Definitely recommend The Good Dentist for all aspects of oral care.

Worst filling I have ever had from Dr. Gareth. Went back for a revision appointment, however I am still having issues. Dr. Gareth was rude and arrogant.

Went in for an invisalign consult, team and Amy were superb. Couldn't fault them. Great service. Thanks!

I never thought I'd say I enjoyed going to the Dentist, but Gareth and the team make it all that more enjoyable. They are all professional and very welcoming, Gareth has a wonderful sense of humour and a real skill in making you feel calm before a procedure. Highly recommend The Good Dentist!

Dr Amy at the Good Dentist provided me with excellent care and service during my appointment. She made me feel at ease at all times and was very open with what was happening during each procedure. Dr Amy was extremely supportive in regards to my dental care needs and provided me with the tools to better my gum and teeth health. All staff I met with were extremely kind and catered to all my needs. I would recommend the Good Dentist and Dr Amy to anyone in search of high quality and experienced dental care.

I have not been to the dentist in longer than I'd care to say but at the Good Dentist I knew that I never needed to stress when I was in their competent care. I was lucky enough to have Amy as my denist and I felt she was the perfect blend of friendly, compassionate and professional. Have been going to the good dentist for over 5 years and their care is exceptional. All staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. Recently had a lot of fillings with Amy. She was so gentle and caring, especially knowing how nervous I was for the needles. Would definitely recommend her for anybody nervous about going to the dentist.

Gareth and his team are amazing, using state of the art technology, they take time to explain scans and images and make a plan to care for your teeth. Incredibly friendly staff and genuine care, most definitely the Good Dentist!

I can highly recommend the good dentist. I was told by another dentist that I required 4 immediate fillings to avoid a root canal which caused high stress and worry as I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to pain. Not feeling overly confident with this clinician, I was recommended to see Gareth as he would ensure I was comfortable during the procedure, as well as the friendliness of the whole team. I had some very detailed photos taken of my teeth on one of the most amazing pieces of equipment I have ever seen and Gareth showed me every single tooth and explained what was going on individually. He then informed me that I did not require any fillings and that my teeth were perfectly fine and healthy. Gareth recommended we just needed to get my gums looking and feeling better with regular cleans following two pregnancies. I was so relieved and so grateful for the thorough investigations, but mainly for the honesty. I was more than willing to book and pay for 4 fillings and could of be none the wiser. I had a great experience with everyone from checking in, all the way to checking out. I am looking forward to my future follow ups with the team. Thank you again!

Absolutely the best Dentist you will ever find. They are a state of the art, family friendly, Covid safe practice. My entire family have made the switch to The Good Dentist (GD) in the last couple of years and my 3.5yr old gets so excited for her appointment. I haven't had many Dentist visits in my life and the last one I had with another Newcastle clinic left me feeling terrible about myself. This is not how it should be and you definitely won't find this at The GD - they have completely reversed any fear I had before. My Husband also had his life long Dentist but after he saw how welcoming, kind and amazing the GD were he changed as well. We are moving out to the other side of the lake (Lake Mac) but we we'll never go anywhere else. Might sound like I'm getting paid for this but I'm not. I'm just someone who believes in honest reviews and giving credit whereit is due.

Gareth and all his team at The Good Dentist are fantastic. Gareth provides you with a dental plan so you know straight up of the costs, and there is no hidden extras. His work is absolutely brilliant, I’m extremely happy. I moved here two years ago from Sydney and put off going to the dentist as I’m such a sook with pain. Gareth ensured I had effective pain relief on board, with even having numbing prior to getting the needle. One very happy patient! Highly recommend. Also a big thank you to your fantastic reception staff, so helpful and caring.

Helpful, knowledgeable and super-friendly! Plus being able to drink komboocha in the waiting room is awesome.

Staff were welcoming as soon as we walked in to my 2 son's and I.
Dr Gareth McBride with his friendly approach and humour managed to ease any fears my youngest child had.
He used modern technology to scan, diagnose and clearly explained everything to us. This was carried out in an efficient manner.

Staff are incredible and I felt super comfortable in the chair. They are also very transparent with costs and use lots of visual aids to help show you the condition of your teeth. Highly recommend!

The dentists and staff at The Good Dentist are professional yet friendly and always kind to my kids. I have had to request a couple of emergency visits and Garreth and Emma are always willing to help (even offering to stay back on a Friday afternoon!).
