The Glenmore Hotel reviews
63We visited The Glenmore Hotel on Friday night at 1230 pm. The upstairs roof top bar was closed. The very accomodating manager allowed us to go upstairs and take a photo as we had visitors from Ireland with us. This pub feels like an Irish pub so relaxed and welcoming.
Great spot. Got parking out front. Few cold ones and a feed on a Sunday arvo. Food was great. Burger was excellent and steak was cooked to perfection. Not to over crowded.
I chose to celebrate my 30th birthday here this past weekend and all I can say is outstanding.
We had 20 guests in the Opera House View and Johanna was our host. She was super friendly and super attentive. All my guests were impressed with the fantastic service and delicious food.
We highly recommend The Glenmore Hotel for any occasion - we cannot fault our function here. The service, the quality and quantity of food, the views 10/10
Thanks again from Jordan and Kemmy
Great spot for a business lunch, great view over circular quay and food/service was spot on
We just came here to have drink and enjoy the best view of the Sydney Opera House. Highly recommend making reservations or arriving very early, like before everyone leaves their jobs. We did eat so I didn't rate the store.
Great pub at the top of the rocks area in downtown Sydney. Multifloor pub that is away from the hustle and bustle of Circular Quay. Downstairs is typical old-school Aussie pub. Good for watching sport or just have an after work beer or catch up with mates. Second floor is good for bigger groups as there are bookable rooms for larger gatherings as well as a small bar table area right in front of second floor bar. Third floor is the best part of this hotel. Modern styled rooftop bar and alfresco area. Great views to the east to see the opera house and Sydney heads beyond. It has a metal lean to roof and when it is full it can get a bit loud due to everyone talking and laughing. I did not get any food so I cannot comment but it did look pretty good. Make sure you book upstairs if you want to come here as it can fill up very quickly, even during the middle of the day.
The team at Glenmore were amazing, catered to all our requests.
The views were great, food variety amazing as were the beers.
The staff asked arranged extra reserved seating in the afternoon which made a great day even better.
So thankyou to all the staff.
Ducked in for lunch after bridge climb. Was 2pm. Group of 6, ordered mains, all great meals, efficient service, normal city pricing so reasonable and for quality of food was happy to pay. Great beer selection on tap too.
After a walk over the bridge this is an excellent location to imbibe a sneaky pint!
Even spotted a parking spot!
Typical we were walking
Great pub food, good friendly staff, a well set out venue. We will happily hold another function at The Glenmore
Food that we had from credit corp financial services function was amazing today. Food was plentiful, drinks were great, view amazing for a winter's day, absolutely perfect and lovely staff, especially the gorgeous guys serving food.
They helped me put together a retirement party for a staff and it was absolutely perfect. They kindly worked around my request to make my planning easy
The staff were attentive and helpful, food was excellent and the table arrangement with the city lights just topped it all. Thank you Hannah and Rosie whom looked after our group on the night
Enjoyed some streetside lunch today (as we had our dog with us) and just awesome. Staff are professional and super friendly, good beer selection and just plain good aussie food. Truly well done and highly recommended.
Good Evening,
I had a booking on the rooftop with a girlfriend on Saturday. Not only do you have amazing views and fantastic food the standout for me was your staff. The girl who looked after us was fantastic. Everyone was fantastic and made our visit a very enjoyable occasion.
Well done Glenmore. You will now be my fave place to visit when in Sydney.
Thanks
Sharron

I like the idea of Falafel burger. However in my 3 times I found that the falafel patty is so crunchy that it looses all the taste.
It was a Monday night on a long weekend so it wasn't busy. The rooftop bar wasn't full and the downstairs bars were all but vacant.
Lots of staff but service was slow and unhelpful.
The steaks were tasty but not cooked how we asked for them. There were a few choices of sauce on the menu but none were available when we ordered. We asked for pepper sauce but were offered gravy.
Fourty four dollars for two glasses of malbec was outrageous especially when the bottle was $59. Maybe that little bit of information should have been offered when I enquired. The malbec was worth a star even at $22 a glass.
Compared to the last time that I was there this time was the pits.
The best part of the night was when one of the staff found 4 Pines stout. That is one of the stars. There is usually a silver lining, the stout was it.
Fantastic views from the rooftop terrace service is brilliant and food is amazing and yummy and The staff were friendly and helpful. Would go back anytime soon.
I had a wonderful experience on the rooftop at The Glenmore. Food and drink was amazing and staff member Julia was very hospitable and so nice! Thanks for making our time there very enjoyable Julia:)
View is great from the rooftop but the food was below average, gnocchi was tasteless and the steaks were a bit cold.
I used to work here about 13 years ago. Great establishment with good views if you can get a space on the roof. Otherwise the food is nice, convenient with the app used to order to your table, and an overall enjoyable place to grab a drink with your friends.
