We were here for the NYE dinner and boy was the food special. Some wizards were in the kitchen that night.

Can't describe with words how good this place is.
The vegan menu is unbelievably tasty, service is impeccable and the atmosphere is wonderful.

We were there for our anniversary ️ it was an amazing experience from food, service and ambience. The team members were so attentive and checked up on us every course. We will definitely come back here for the New year Eve

The food, service and attention to detail is fantastic. I strongly appreciated the staff being so informative with the dishes as they served them, it made the experience more enjoyable. If you also happen to celebrate a special occasion such as an anniversary which was our case, The Gantry is a great choice, and we’re very grateful for their consideration and special treatment.

Sadly disappointing dinner here with a party of 6 adults last night. Arrived promptly and seated at the booked time of 7.30pm. Mains and drinks ordered a few minutes in and all was going smoothly until we noticed it was 8.45pm and we had yet to have the 1st course. Bread was not even provided to tide us over. 1st course finally arrived just before 9pm and we had to question a waiter what the delay over the meal was as we were not interested in waiting around for another hour for the 2nd course. No real explanation given, aside from there was a delay in the kitchen. Then some bread and butter for the table was hastily provided and the next 3 courses started to arrived within reasonable time frames. Clearly the kitchen had forgotten about out table. For $130 per person for a 4 course meal and a 1 hatted quality restaurant we expected better or at least not have to finish dinner at 11.20pm for 4 courses.

The 2 starters were innovative and delish, mains (incl veg option) were very underwhelming and dessert was OK.

Wait staff were friendly enough but attention was difficult to get at times and we were clearly overlooked. Only the bread was complimentary to make up for the long eait times. No apologies from the manager or even an explanation from the kitchen.

Perhaps it was a ploy for us to spend up on the wine. Considering it was a long overdue catch up for our party, it worked, as we ordered 4 bottles of wine by the end of night. Go if thirsty but stay away if you want a proper hatted experience or an enjoyable dining experience.

This new restaurant, opened only 2-3 months ago, is highly recommended. The menu was well considered and matching wines were delicious. We were seated outside and loved the atmosphere. Each course was wonderfully cooked and presented, especially the wagyu. Friendly and efficient service topped off a great night.

By far the best dinning experience in Sydney very unassuming but the chef Rhys Connell is a genius! Would highly recommend this place to anyone my clients loved there meal and will be back.

His place was pricey. There was a four course set menu and little alternative, and it wasn't cheap. But it was a nicely balanced meal with a good blend of tastes and some original touches. The main course was either focussed around super tender Wagyu beef or delicious white fish, but both were particularly ungenerous in size, so if you are a big eater, I wouldn't recommend this place, unless you are content to fill yourself on their delicious, warm sourdough bread. The doors were open the whole length of the room and it was lovely to sit in the evening in the nicely designed low lighting looking over the old piers and the harbour.

Had a lovely dinner here on Saturday night. We had the vegetarian 4 course dinner, however there is also the vegan and meat 4 course options. It appears to be a dog friendly restaurant, with dogs allowed inside the restaurant at dinner and some snacks provided for the dogs. The cucumber starter was probably my favourite. The food is beautifully presented and it is not too much food despite being four courses. They primarily take card and require your card details to confirm a booking.

Just had the amazing 4 course vegetarian tasting menu from here and it did not disappoint. Lovely staff and incredible food. A must see!

Woof. This place died for me in 3 acts.

We came here for a group lunch that was "catered"? We had off menu items that were prepared by the kitchen.

First, the guy at reception at pier one was rude. There was no one in the restaurant, we saw our group but he "rang to get someone" and went back to what he did. What a knob polisher.

Second the amount of chaos confusion with orders from the wait staff was just comical.

Third and most aggregious was the vegan food. More precisely the "mushroom" GF sandwiches. They had sauteed mushrooms with leaves in a sandwich. But the bread was GF which usually means gluten free but in this case means get fkd because that's what it told us.

It was like SAND. Like they made it out of sand painted it white and served it. Someone in the kitchen didn't give a FK that day.

My partner and I came here for a special anniversary dinner and we couldn't be more happy with our choice. We had the 4 course vegan tasting menu and it was honestly the most delicious food we have had in a long time (my partner is not vegan but he loved the food as much as me!). The staff were all so attentive and so friendly, making the evening even more special. They put us on a lovely table by the water and continued to make the atmosphere as lovely as the food. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem for a special occasion.

I love how this fine dining restaurant is pet friendly. Everyone could bring their fluffy puppies to enjoy the meal and have such wonderful experience.
I had a vegetarian set menu and everything was delicious and the portions were very decent as well. Can't wait to visit again soon.
