The Gaelic Club Sydney reviews
17An absolute institution and a must. Especially on Friday nights, free live band playing the songs of heaven. Definitely worth the effort.
It’s like walking into a pub in Ireland! Great trad sesh going on and good pints of Guinness! Such a hidden gems
You’d be hard put to find a better Guinness anywhere. Smooth, creamy, and with the right amount of bitterness, it’s the perfect pint. A great find, and so close to central station.
Happy hour pints, brilliant price.
Wednesday night feed was seriously on point. $15 for a pint and a brilliant lamb stew! Good service, good venue.
Lovely food, drinks and company. The atmosphere is always friendly and my girlfriends and I had a ball when we were last in.
Brilliant traditional live Irish music, great atmosphere, would definitely recommend to any Irish or Irish music lovers
Old music haunt, nothing flash but it's one of the better places that's left in Sydney. As in it still has character, unlike nearly everywhere else.
Was there for a friend's birthday. It's not outstanding, but it's good for a function.
Good wooden dance floor and an ok bar. The dance floor was the best thing about it.
My favourite place in Sydney. Nice staff, cheap drinks and cosy place to spend the night. I will always return.
Went to Trouble in the kitchen - irish band playing there. Awesome atmosphere with heaps of people there enjoying a Friday night with music and drinks.
The friendliest bar in Sydney. Relaxed atmosphere. Great live shows. Friday night Irish music session.
A hidden place with Guinness on tap (7$ pint). Live music. It doesn't look as a bar, rather as the name suggests as a club)
The Gaelic Club, Sydney is an Irish cultural centre and a social centre for the Irish-Australian community in Sydney. It is a place for live entertainment, teaching of traditional music, dance and the Irish language. It has a licensed bar, dance floor, kitchen and meeting room, which members and guests can use and book for functions.
Amazing craic- cheap srinks, amazing entertainment and the best and most inclusive irish music session in Sydney
Love this place, super authentic like you stepped into an old Irish bar replete with daggy carpets and neon lights. Affordable drinks and a stage for live entertainment. All round good craic
The Gaelic Club is a great, unreconstructed, unpretentious, time-conquering venue with affordable beer prices. These days I come here on Thursday nights for Melting Pot Jam Sessions, which means you see sensational, talented acts for the bargain-basement price of $5. It's Brackets & Jam on steroids!
Basic pub with multiple areas to it. The best thing that happens in it is a comedy night called Green Lights on every last Friday of the month. $5 entry to see really good comedians with 2 great MCs - Nikko and Alexei who keep the room warm and friendly for all. Good value drinks and good bar staff. Outside for smoking and opportunities to meet the comedians after show.
