The store is filled with customers from early morning, and the staff who run the counter and kitchen are exhilarating. The roasting aroma emanating from the back and the light music are wonderful.

Very good, a bit expensive though. For the best results, order when the old man/woman is working there, not when there's casual workers. You'll get your food faster.

I was looking to kill some time in the area while waiting for my haircut appointment and stumbled across The Coffee Roaster. Within three minutes of entering the shop, Dan, the founder, approached us in a very friendly way asking if we needed help or had any questions. We were standing right in front of the roasting equipment that is in the open area of the coffee shop for customers to observe, so I had to ask him what this setup is all about. Turns out Dan designed the entire roasting equipment after accumulating decades of experience with roasting coffee and dedicated all his heart into building the most scientific and consistent coffee roasting equipment. Dan spent over an hour showing us the different systems he invented, walking us through the science behind roasting coffee beans, and demonstrating roasting a batch of coffee in an interactive experience. What is the result of a genuine innovator who strives to roast the perfect coffee beans and and treats people with respect and passion - an award winning, high quality, and consistent coffee. You have to stop by to meet Dan, or try out their scientifically roasted and brewed coffee. It's worth your afternoon!

It started with a quick cappuccino to go, now I’m ordering their beans by the bag load.
Their rich Rocket Fuel (#97), the moorish Melbourne Gold (#33), and smooth as (#101) is.well, smooth as silk.
Love the coffee these beans do create.

Great for coffee beans and food - we've been going to the Coffee Roaster for over 10 years and the staff have always been friendly and knowledgeable.

The coffee roaster is my current jam for coffee beans. The TR33 is a strong and consistent blend and is my fave. Aside from the beans, they are a good breakfast spot. A good menu and friendly staff make it an easy recommendation.

We had previously purchased beans and coffee at the coffee roasters in Brisbane, and everything was perfect!
We were very surprised and happy to move to Sydney and find it here too.
We've tried different brands of specially coffee in Sydney, I have to say the coffee roasters are still the best!

THE best coffee shop and roaster in Sydney, the coffee is incredible with so many options, freshly roasted on site for you to see. I buy my beans here for my own machine also the choice is amazing, they will roast them for you there and then as you wait for take some already made recently and in the fridge. Food is fantastic too and so well priced. I have been to many many coffee shops in Sydney but this one is number 1.

Excellent quality coffee at a good price. Fast shipping too. Been buying since 2009 and have not been disappointed.

I used to be a big fan of the house made baked bean from the Coffee Rosters.this morning I strongly felt like having one so I went there for take away again. HOWEVER, after waited 25 mins for getting my food, I opened the take away box at office and got canned baked bean with two fully cooked fried eggs (used to be pouched eggs and I haven’t asked to change to fried eggs). I was so disappointed…and paid $12 for it…I probably won’t come back again even the staffs are nice.

Coffee was great, the burger was good. I like the atmosphere here.

Certainly worth a visit.

The best coffee. Very accommodating staff and quick service. The place was very cozy. Must try in Rosebery area, along Botany Road. When you're in the area for any reason, try their freshly roasted coffee beans (whole or ground) to take home. They have choices from 250grms/pack to 2 kls/pack.

Walked over because of the good reviews but the coffee was disappointing, as was the ham and cheese croissant
