The Climbing Centre reviews
21First time and I'm sure it won't be the last Kids had a great time trying rock climbing for the first and although one was a little nervous they quickly got the hang of it and gained more confidence as they went Plenty of levels from beginners to advanced available so you can really challenge yourself Great activity for all ages
Great place for littles ones (4 and 6) to have fun and be active while it rains. Lots to climbs to choose from. Doesn’t get too busy so always climbs available
Really great climbing options. So many to choose too. No limit per entry is how long you can stay and climb.
Good place to visit with young kids. Very spacious for all climbers. Good challenge for young kids to climb here. Young staffs are very friendly and helpful for first timers.
It has nice desks in the middle for family to sit and enjoy.
Loved to be there.
Recommended.
The climbing centre is a fun way to get exercise for all and the kids love it. They learn problem solving strategies and test their physical limits. It’s brilliant to see the growth in their abilities and confidence as they succeed at a challenge previously unbeaten.
Parents have to be involved to hold the ropes and monitor the children but it’s not very difficult and 10min training they give you at the centre gets you in the action straightaway.
I think i talked Michael's ear off on what the place and climbing is all about.lots of knowledge; will definitely be climbing here!
Friendly staff, lots of walls with different challenges. Loved it - I was in yesterday from 11am -2pm. 2 young girls. Both so friendly and helpful
A great place to climb with friends and family. However climbs are rarely changed, especially in there bouldering sections that will stay the same usually for up to 2-3months.
Bathroom and changing area could also be a bit more hygienic and cleaned up a bit.
Great place, friendly staff, great variety of climbing. What was just meant to be a once off casual visit has turned into my favourite hobby
Fantastic Place for the whole family. I had a blast and found the climbs a challenge but so much fun. My 5 year old daughter had a great time trying out the different climbs.
Very well priced and I love that the only time limit is how long until your tired!
Thanks for the great day!

Walls are changed regularly which makes for a very nice change every week.
Facilities are all in great condition, clean and tidy.
Accessories are avaliable and staff are friendly.
Very racist lady staff. No Smile No communication skill.never to return.place itself standard, could do with upgrade.
This is one of the best little climbing centers for first timers, novice and expert climbers.
I frequent here almost every week with my two sons and it has boosted there confidence, problem solving skills and strength. They love it that much the when my youngest son Levi turned 7.he wanted to have his party at the center. So we did a superhero themed party with a matching cake.everybody, including parents had a great time and people who hadnt climbed said they were coming back to have a go.
A great place.
Trance Mondays rock.
Penrith is the best climbing gym i may be bias being a riff local but ive grown up at this climbing gym ans it keeps getting better bring on next monday.
Extremely reasonable pricing and great fun! Still exactly as I remember if from way back in high school! Could do with a little bit of a facelift, but it's really just all part of its character!
This gym has everything from easy climbs for small children to hard climbs for advanced climbers. We have been many times and prefer Penrith as our young kids can climb to the top easily and we can get a good workout. Our kids love the walls because they are not to high and don't get scared and we can do lots of climbs compared to the other gyms. Value for money:) Always friendly staff, good music and lots of interesting climbs.
This was my first time at this centre and I really did have a good time I enjoyed being able to go upstairs and warm up. And there was a good variety downstairs as well I did go during peak time and found that it was very busy but that is to be expected full stop the reason this got 4 stars and not 5 is I would like to see more self belaying ropes available
No cafe inside, just a very primative "shop" where you can buy some cold drinks and some very basic snacks like bags of chips.
The Climbing Centre refused to extend mine and my partners Groupon voucher which we couldn't use due to an unexpected work trip that I had to take. They were still offering the same voucher through Groupon so it wasn't like they were going to lose anything by giving me the extension. The only recompense they offered was free harness hire on our next paid visit and were not sympathetic to our situation. The service is non existent, the gym is tiny and old and I would not recommend it at all.
It is a big venue for climbing sport but there was some missing grips which I hope they fix soon
