The Church Bar reviews
48The staff were extremely friendly & helpful.the meals came out within a good timeframe.the meals were filling tasteful & beautifully presented.our experience was a good one & we will definitely be back
We had a girls night out monthly catch-up. As usual the food was amazing the service outstanding and the atmosphere just right. We all had a wonderful night. I highly recommend the Church Bar
My Friend & I went for High Tea it was fantastic and the staff were great.
I would definitely recommend
It was great. The food was fantastic. Drinks were good as well. Service was exceptional. Top place
Yesterday we had a surprise Lunch for our Mums 80th Birthday. From the start Ash could not have been any more helpful and accommodating, and the service was amazing from all the lovely and friendly staff. The meals were amazing and all 17 came out at the same time. Very happy
Lovely, quaint setting. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The staff were also pleasant and cheerful. We’d be happy to come back.
Since the Church Bar has changed owners we cannot fault it!
Great food, service is above and beyond, live music and wine pairing nights are such great local community events!
The staff are great, very friendly and personable. Possibly due to the party size of our reservation along with the other guests at the venue, the food wasn't served as quickly as we possibly would have preferred or the meals didn't seem to be all that hot when served, so you could easily dig in as soon as the plates were set down.
For my particular meal; the oysters Kilpatrick seemed quite dry and didn't have much sauce - the amount and size of the bacon that came with it however was excellent.
The pull apart garlic bread was very tasty and definitely suited for sharing amongst the table as it is a good serving size.
I ordered the "stretched rump" medium rare, but as it's name suggests it is stretched, and made it to be a lot thinner than you may expect, so my steak came out closer to medium, with parts on the 'well' side. The crispy potatoes along with the jus that come as a side definitely get a recommendation from me, but I'd suggest maybe a different cut of steak.
The layout of the space inside isn't exactly ideal, with guests and staff alike occasionally struggling to move between tables.
The restrooms are located outside which can be a bit of a shock to the system to visit after you've been accustomed to the warmth inside. There's no mirror in the men's restroom if you're like me and want to make sure there's no stray herbs poking out of your teeth before returning to your table.
Overall however it is quite a nice venue with a good variety of menu and drinks options and hospitable staff. Thanks for reading my TED Talk.
Wonderful food and an interesting place to eat.very busy so booking is recommended.if you need to eat inside make certain to make that known.
Great food, great service and I love the cafe. We will be back again. My partner said the hollandaise sauce was the best he has ever had.
The service was nothing short of perfect, all the staff were extremely friendly and all about the guests with regular checkins, but the food was over priced and not great.
Kids pasta was really watery and plane.
Medium rare Steak tasted like charcoal when you took a bite and only came with a small portion of chips with no option for salad or veggies.
Garlic bread wasn’t the greatest
$120 later for one adult and two kids including drinks, I wouldn’t go back
Busy little restaurant, indoor and outdoor area, outside has heaters. Great food and drinks. Fun list of cocktails.
Was an amazing breakfast. Staff and service were fantastic. Highly recommend this place. Great live music as well.
The Church Bar is the perfect place if you love delicious food, excellent service and great atmosphere! From the starters, mains to yummy desserts everything was amazing! We had such a wonderful time, thank you!
Went for lunch with a friend atmosphere wasnt the nicest unfortunately all the air conditioning seemed to be off it was extremely hot and the dust and cobwebs all over the stain glass windows in there with a newborn no air conditioning I ordered the chicken shinitzal and chips the chicken was over cooked and dry the chips tasted stale they left our plates at the table even while we were getting ready to leave. So many flys in there. I probably wouldn't go in there again. The staff were friendly that's about it.
Walked in late Saturday afternoon - greeted by friendly faces - served great food & wine. (definitely recommend the beer braised mussels).
Recently taken over by new management who have made significant improvements to the space and to the menu. We held a birthday party here for 40 people and the staff could not have been more friendly, courteous and helpful. Thank you to Ash and the team.
The chef was very accommodating when we arrived at 2pm for lunch. We had mussels and pork belly in chilli jam. Dam it was good. Highly recommend
Best breakfast in Windsor. Great menu. I had the pommy goat and it was delicious. Good coffee. Staff and service were awesome - just a good vibe. Really authentic nice people. And it's dog friendly.
Can't wait to try the lunch menu. Apparently there is live music too so keen to check that out.
The owner even came out and personally greeted us. Definitely will be back.
Amazing… The Church Bar is now our ‘go-to’ in Windsor!
Recently changed owners and wow, we can’t fault them.
Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner (or the lovely desserts!) the food is fresh and delicious!
Staff are friendly and welcoming.
Support local business and give them a go!
We also held a private function recently, shortly after the new owners took over… everything went seamlessly. Catering was generous and great quality and service from the Church Bar team was excellent.
