The Cat Protection Society of NSW Welfare Office reviews
13 Like many other org, they like you when receive donations but try to ask them to accept a cat found on the street and they will give you many excuses, being their favorite that they have no room.
I know people waiting for months to surrender a kitten and finally they have no option and abandoned the cats on the street
A great place to adopt a forever friend, the staff are wonderful and thoroughly explain everything and answer all your questions, I have one happy mum
They care about the cats they have for adoption, are very knowledgeable, sell heaps of toys and food so there is whatever your (cat's) heart desires - and all profits go to look after abandoned cats. Adopt don't shop!
Very kind and professional staff!
Lovely and very caring people, great place to adopt a cat.
Longest waiting list ever. Local councils, vets and NGOs recommend this place for surrendering street cats but they never have space when I call. Don’t recommend this place.
They know so much about cats! I got a water fountain from them so my cat would drink more water and when I was next in I joked he hadn't taken to it and the lovely ladies gave me in-depth tips for how to use the fountain and get him used to it. Tips worked! He loves it. Thanks Cat Protection
Just as the other guy said—no longer an op shop, only sells cat things like cat towers, toys, treats. Not even sure if the things here are cheaper compared to other places, but I doubt it. The people working here seem helpful and knowledgeable though!
Closed down. It's no longer an op shop, sadly. Now it's their cat pet store with new items only.
Best Op Shop I have ever come across. Genuine people wanting to help protect cats, as well as helping the environment by limiting waste and encouraging sustainable shopping by selling donated second hand goods (and some new). What a fantastic idea. You can find some great items, prices and treasures here! Layout, structure, policies, ect are wonderful. Very well organised. Lots of signs up that give thorough information about the shop, how your purchase contributes to the shelter, and plenty of other wow factors! The volunteers, as well as customers, are well looked after, valued and appreciated, and friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting the Cat Protection Op Shop! Your purchase or donation will go towards several great causes!
Gabriel was amazingly helpful despite me not purchasing anything, i’ll be sure to visit again! Very friendly customer service!
If you really want some bargains, go round to the back of the store and check out what they throw out. They often discard really good items because they either don't believe they will sell or just don't have room to store them. My friend found some lovely empty but very decorative french perfume bottles that she displays on her dressing table. Also some vintage cups (without saucers) that she grows succulent plants in. All for free.
Love this shop and people who work there and people who visit it are super nice. I just donated a half of my beautiful wardrobe with so many quality and almost new and some totally new dresses. I am sure you will love it! Kitties will love your supports for sure.
Best place to go to adopt cats and kittens or make bargain purchases from the OP shop. Friendly and highly knowledgeable cat shelter staff. Best feline shelter around all things considered.
