The Captain and Crew / Papatya reviews
39The food was delicious and so was the milkshake! And it was in a nice spot, with a cute interior. Highly recommend this cafe!
Sitting outside in the sun with a hot coffee protected from the wind. Mid ride stop. Fantastic. Could not ask for a better Sunday morning cafe break. Lovely service, nice cups.
Randomly found The Captain and Crew and ordered 2 Eggs Benedict for takeaway.
What a pleasant surprise, Holy moly was it delicious. Marks Point has one hell of a cafe that can compete with some found in bigger cities.
Good food with generous sized servings. Coffee also went down well. Highly recommended for a visit!
Such a great place! Lovely atmosphere, the food was served lightning fast and was amazing! The couscous was super delicious.
Overcharged for coffee and croissants this morning
Nice vibe and good ish coffee and food
But make sure you ask for a bill or you will end up paying $10 for a regular cap
What a surprise! A very trendy clean and comfortable spot to drink and eat. Delicious Tapas style food where it's difficult to make a choice. Get the big fat Prawn Tapas now during COVID, while its affordable. My pics say it all. My favourite since moving to Swansea 2 years ago. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Very good, strong coffee in a laid back atmosphere. Friendly staff and comfy outdoor chairs. Worth the stop!
Cute little place, with some fancy menu options. Mostly middle eastern inspired flavours. We ordered the lamb cigars, and the haloumi, with some sweet potato fries. Good food, but both the haloumi and the sweet potato fries were really too salty for us. Hope the chef can make some adjustments, then I’ll look forward to returning.
Great vibe. The Eggs Benedict was delicious and possibly, the best I've had. I think its going to become our new local.
Amazing service, amazing food. Amazing we have not been there before.
"The Boys" from Ray White will be back!
A hidden gem! Great coffee, incredible food, and very reasonably priced. Captain & Crew is bringing inner city cafe culture to eastern Lake Macquarie!
I love that I have a new local to go to! The coffee is delicious, the service was great and the food is amazing. I can't wait til they open up for dinner and happy hour!
The food and coffee is really great, the service is amazing and it has been renovated to a high standard. A must visit if you are in the area.
Gorgeous cafe bringing something special and Melbourne-style to marks point. Coffee is epic (hello will & tobys) breakfast has lots of interesting and elevated options, with things to still keep the guy and kiddos in the fam really happy! Lunch and dinner changes from cafe fare to pushing some really interesting morrocan or Lebanese style options that are hearty and some of the best mains I’ve had in newcastle. The trio of dips with the zaartar is so good I have ordered some to have on hand at home! If there is a curry or ravine make sure you order it as this is a chef who knows his flavours! Special occasion and quick stop; we drive 30 mins around the lake to come here weekly - take the kiddos left or right to feed the ducks after a meal with a coffee to go!
Not only is this the new local, it's the new favourite. Good coffee, great food, reasonably priced with excellent service. Will not disappoint
Everything was amazing! Definitely a must visit cafe in Lake Macquarie:) slowly working my way through the menu!
Good table service. Excellent food. Really good social distancing measures. Great got chocolate and coffee.
Went there for the first time today. The food was delicious! I don't understand how they made a simple bacon and fried eggs and scrambled eggs and smoked salmon so tasty. The coffee was great and I'm a fussy coffee drinker.
It's not crowded and there are tables outside or a nice park across the road if you want to have some time outside in the fresh air with good food and coffee but still "socially distance" yourself during this virus.
