The Bridge River St. Cafe

We try to support small towns' bussness when on holiday. But I will be making sure we drive past this cafe!
Simply order a couple of chia tea that were watery at best and very overpriced even much higher than Sydney prices.
Service was unfriendly.
Trying to take advantage of tourists' pasting by leaves a bad taste in your mouth, not smart for business.
It's not good for encouraging travellers to stay and spend their hard earned money

Delicious food, great service, and a delightful spot to sit and enjoy lunch. Definitely recommend this place for any meal if you're in town.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time and great coffee. Even if I don’t stay at Macksville I’ll be taking a detour off the highway for their breakfast.

Beautiful old Cafe with lots of charm, and delicious food. We both order crumbed fish and jalapeno burger. It was a great combo cooked beautifully and tasted delish!

Monday morning, been wanting to try out this place for a while, unfortunately we have just just walked out, the staff were rude and abrupt. Both staff looked stressed, there was only 6 other customers.such a shame because the food on your website looks fabulous.

Wonderful food, absolutely loved it! Staff is also very cute. Would definitely come again for the bridge burger.

Great coffee and food.unfortunately no bathroom, pew seating reminded me of long-suppressed childhood memories… not bad just uncomfortable…
Excellent position and a really nice atmosphere in the town

Has to be one of the very best cafe's if not the best along NSW North coastline. A must stop to replenish on local quality produce breakfast and lunch meals. The panko crumbed whiting fish burger is to die for. My wife tried the panko crumbed calamari described as exquisite. Got to be good if it's a kiwi chef.

Your website states your open, so we detoured off the highway only once again as this isn’t the first time you are closed

Great cafe, toilets not in service but there is a block just down the road. Good size portions. Coffee brew was nice and there was pleanty of Gluten free options. Would come here again.

Been here before a few years back as a visitor to the area and enjoyed a family meal.
Now I'm a local and visited with a friend this week for brunch.
3 of us all ordered different things and cleaned our plates. Food was excellent, quality ingredients and very tasty. The place was busy and deservedly so in my opinion. Comfortable and clean. It's location on the riverside lends itself to an easy flat walk around this neat little town with easy access to return to motorway North or South if you are passing this way.
I really enjoyed the meal.

Great coffee, beans from local roast house "Botero" which is excellent. Disappointing that they wouldn't accommodate the simplest of requests.scrambled eggs. They only do fried or poached. Are you serious? Just scramble the eggs it's not hard.

The best eggs Benny I have ever had.

If you are holidaying in macksville or just driving through, make sure you drop in for some Awesome food and coffee.

Take the detour from the highway to Macksville and visit the 50's style cafe.you won't be disappointed.

Boutique vibe, great view, and prices you don’t have to take out a second mortgage for. Well worth the detour off the freeway.

We pre ordered and our breakfast was ready for when we arrived. Nice location, staff are great. Outdoor dining also available.

Delicious fruit toast nice thick slice, served with honey and mascaponi. Very friendly staff too.
