The Bower Manly reviews
56Its ok, nothing too special. The salmon was a tiny portion and the fish and chips had a bitter taste. Maybe would be a good spot just for a coffee or something simple. I wouldn't save this for a special occasion. Also the lunch menu online isn't correct
We stumbled upon this Idyllic quaint bistro cafe right smack on the waterfront of Cabbage Tree Aquatic reserve as we strolled from Manly beach to Shelly beach along the waterside walkway. We stopped for lunch and a quick refreshments. The food was great and the sea view is spectacular sun bathers paradise around the tidal rock pool. Easy access but popular location, However we were lucky to get a seat outside on a warm day the sea breeze so refreshing. Bring yr swimming gear, Highly recommended!
Size of coffee is ridiculously small. Maybe you don't have much competition around and u can be very picky with customers - but its very not nice. U selling the smallest size ever for the normal price. If size of the cap is much smaller than anywhere else you should put prices down too. So many ppl tried to support biznesses like yours during the covid. Maybe add some free small cookie to each coffee - or don't charge normal price for such a small sizes.
Friendly staff and quick turnaround but very disappointed with the food. The chai tea tasted like water and was warm not hot and the bun for the bacon and egg roll was a heavy white bread and some basic bbq sauce nothing special or appealing at all.
Fine views, nice watching the bold and beautiful swimmers and oat flat white pretty good. Very friendly service.
Lovely day, and no pressure to move on, which was appreciated. Poached egg was hard cooked and mushies were cold. Horrible toast (leftover from a homeless shelter?) Service was lovely. The food could have been a lot better.
On the ocean walk from Manly Surf Lifesavers to Shelley Beach. Perfect for a coffee and breakfast. Dog friendly. Good friendly staff. Very good food and coffee.
Waited 10 minutes for a take away cup of tea. Was handed a cup of boiling water (no lid), a separate cup of milk (no lid) and a tea bag into my bare hand. Asked if this was normal for take away as it was hardly 'to go' and difficult to carry, and was brushed off as staff simply walked away. Weirdest experience I have ever had.
Total chaos reigned and service was as good as it could have been given the crowds. Great spot to stop for a drink and people watch and take in the incredibly view
Great location and view however lack of service and good food. Always have to double check the change (charged wrong 2x). Waited for a plain croissant for 20min, when checked how the order was going the staff gave me one that wasn't even warm and old judging by how stale it was.
Coffee was good, service good, and the view is great on a sunny morning.but this is next to Millionaires Row so I guess that is how they justify $20 for scrambled eggs on toast.ouch. Almond croissant looked popular so we tried that too.it was big but dry (day old perhaps?).
Haven’t tried food here but we love this spot for good coffee and yummy muffins that we have every time after snorkelling at Cabbage tree bay. Service is always quick and friendly too
Hard to beat for position. Coffee is good and wait staff are lovely. My favourite place to be on any morning.
Very average. Friendly service but overcooked, vinegary poached eggs and a soggy croissant. Keep walking, the view is great, but there is the same further along with better food
Horrible service- the staff was so rude. The almond crossiant was the absolute worst I’ve ever eaten.
Food not worth the money. And not tasty. We got wagyu burgers and fries.the burgers has almost no taste, its lile they bought a ready burger from Coles and put it into a bun.no salt, no sos. The fries were so bad too, very disappointed, especially looking at how much money we spent.
Food was super ordinary - was disappointed by the avocado on sourdough. The meal was cold and involved half an avocado and flat cardboard bread instead of sourdough. Coffee was pretty decent and the view was beautiful, but the service was also poor.
Really disappointing, dishes not as described on the menu (missing various ingredients), terrible service and very overpriced. View was nice, however will head straight to the Boathouse next time
Great view and outlook onto the water. Cool beachy vibes. Prices are high but it’s due to the location. Food and coffee were good. You need to order at the counter, which is understandable for the outside tables but table service would have been nice for the inside. Overall, we had a nice breakfast.
Very nice place. Coffee is ok, nothing I would dream about. Unfortunately the boss is treating his staff very poorly in front of the customers. A lot of negative vibes, which I really don't like at this place. 2 stars for Jonny though, he is awesome.
