Very disappointed with the service. I arrived 10 mins before closure for a regular blood test, the lady attending mentioned that she had closed her computer as a request from her manager and no more test will be performed. She suggested to go to Bondi, and that will take take 2 more hours of my day due to the fact that this clinic does not respect the timing included on the website.

Don't waste your time with this place! Made me do all the blood tests doctor referrals than cancelled my booked appointments twice with out any reason! VERY BAD MANAGMENT!

I had a gastric balloon inserted in September 2020, and can confirm it did its job. The procedure itself was easy and the nurses in Melbourne truly help in following up after insertion / removal. However I found their dietician lacking (she just told me to eat till I was full and wouldn't give me a calorie goal to work towards, even knowing history of overeating / binging). Their website says you can drink in moderation, however both the bariatric surgeons say you absolutely should not drink and try and make you feel bad for "empty calories".

It seems.a bit money grabby. Even after losing nearly 30kg, literally as I was being put to sleep to have it removed, the gastric surgeon told me to "let her know if I wanted another one put in at a later date. " I had two follow up appointments before and after removal which I personally didn't want, but was required to have and was going to be charged $180 for each 10 minute consultation. I was not made aware of these fees before the appointments, and ended up being bulk billed for them, but make sure you are aware of any hidden fees because they will make it your problem, as it's "not part of your contract. "

Having a procedure at The BMI Clinic was easily THE BEST decision I have made regarding my health and weight to date. I'm 42yo and have battled with my weight since my twenties. I have a bad back and despite exercising like a maniac, the weight stayed on. I had tried *everything* except a balloon. Now I have, I have to tell anyone considering it to absolutely do it. Is it easy? No. Is it better than spending another 10 years and another few thousand dollars on things that don't work? YES! The BMI Clinic have been thorough, gentle and have displayed wonderful customer service from the beginning (and I'm an RN so am a hard customer to please when it comes to healthcare)! I'm currently 5 months in, 10kgs down (I had 15 -20kgs to lose) and I'm hopeful for the future, but know I'm in good hands with the BMI Clinic staff.

Very good nursing staff in the double bay surgery, clinic secretary (Marvel) was fantastic and very professional and helpful, the right person in the right place.

From the first moment I stepped into The BMI Clinic, I was met with beautiful smiling, friendly faces. In the two- and a-bit years since that first visit, I have encountered so much encouragement from every person I have had dealings with, from the people at reception, the nurses, specialists and Dr Adrian Sartorello himself.

I live 4 and a half hours away from the clinic so there have been times when I have needed to see the nurse, dietitian, behavioral psychologist, exercise physiotherapist and Dr Sartorello all in the space of one or two days and they have always been able to accommodate my requirements.

Since November 2017 I have lost well over 50kgs and I owe a great deal of my achievements to the support of this amazing team of people.

The BMI clinic provides very impressive customer services. They are quick to respond to customer enquiries and they even work on weekends to resolve urgent issues. Adrian and Dr Brennan are very professional, Casey is nice, patient and very helpful. The program is working effectively, I'm half way through, already lost the weight I expected. I'm thankful to the doctors and the clinic, and will definitely recommend the clinic to others.

My wife and I had the Apsire Assist inserted a little over two years ago (Nov 2017) by Dr Adrian Sartoretto and team. They have been with us for our whole weight loss journey, making sure that we have never felt alone through any part of this new life-style.

Because we live 4.5 hours away from the clinic, the team have made themselves available through phone calls, emails, even offering Skype and Facetime Chats as alternatives. When we do make the trip in for clinic visits, they make us feel so welcome and empowered – like we had achieved great things by losing weight. We are never treated like a number but like valued people.

One of the most wonderful things about the staff at the BMI clinic is that they ALL make it a point to smile and say “Hi. You’re looking well”

I’m a city working professional and therefore my review is anonymous for that reason alone this review therefore notes a funny username. The clinic was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the experience has completely changed my lifestyle and improved my health in the most positive of ways after losing <30kg and keeping it off now for 3 years. Dr Adrian Sartoretto is not only an expert in his field, but I have also always felt he genuinely cared about me, weight loss goals and overall health. I never felt alone in my weight loss journey (after my initial gastric balloon insertion) and this I believe is due to Adrian’s genuine care for me as his patient. Throughout my weight loss journey no question I asked was ever left unanswered and Adrian and his the staff were very responsive finding solutions to my questions within hours of me raising it with them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this clinic as a weight loss solution to those who truly want a health/lifestyle change with a truly great team behind them. Thank you BMI Clinic.

Just had a gastricballon put in a week ago and i am extremely happy with it as the results with weight loss have been amazing i would recommend doctor adrian and the staff highly but there written commuincatin with people who come to the clinic needs to be improved as i have recived some very rude and thiretaining messages on my phone twice via text and my mum has recevid a threatening email witch was very unprofessional in the mannor it was sent and dealt with when mum called the cilinic the lady was extremely rude and disrespectful. Witch upset me that somone would be like this and there was a spelling mistake on the website's page with the word silver it was incorrectly spelt for futre clients please fix this. Ben is so kind and attentive hes an asset to the staff

I would like to share my negative experience after gastric sleeve endoscopy
After careful consideration for having this procedure I was told that would be more suitable procedure for me
I was asking the surgeon lot of questions about losing weight and of successful statistics and rate for the patients that have this procedure.
At the consultation prior to procedure, I was reassured that I will definitely lose weight and the hunger hormones will change and my sugar level will be normalised, as I have a diabetes for many years.
This was one of the important reasons why I was chosen that procedure to reverse the effect of my diabetes
After having the procedure, I didn't feel any difference in my state of health, I am not losing weight, as I was advised and did not have any follow up appointment or letter from the specialist to see my progression
I have so many hopes and expectations to achieve normal weight and sugar level, but unfortunately I can't see any positive results.
I must say, that I am very disappointed with promised positive result, paying money and suffer for pain

I would like to add a few more things
On my last visit to BMI clinic I was waiting for more than 50mins and couldn’t see my Surgeon, but was given referral for Scan by one of the staff members who I was not familiar with
I think it’s not appropriate and not professional to look after private patients, especially in this famous and reputable clinic
I wasn’t told that the doctor had to attend his patient in surgery, but when I was leaving one of the staff members apologised to me but it was too late
I hope that in my next visit I will be treating differently
