The Baxley Bondi

Great location in Bondi and very reasonably priced. Rooms are tidy and comfortable. The service was wonderful. Kate was a great help! She gave us some great ideas for things to do in the area - restaurants, walks etc and looked after us.
Highly recommend, Kate will look after you.

The whole point of staying at a hotel is sleeping. This is not possible in this place. It has no insulation, so you hear EVERYTHING from everyone. @GovernmentofNewSouthWales, how did you grant them a licence? I wonder if they bought all those good reviews. It used to be student accommodation, now it charges you 200 $ for NOTHING, because sleep is impossible. It is a complete rip-off, beware! Also - do not expect any service, it is just meant to rip you off. Please spare me a reply about how you are sorry about other guest being loud! This is a LIE - your guests are not loud, your hotel has ZERO insulation, the walls are paper thin and the doors bang extremely loudly. You know about it and do nothing, you just keep on ripping off innocent customers. Shame on you!

Nice decor, very close to Bondi beach and Bondi junction, super clean as well, will be back for sure!

Terrible service. Made a reservation a month prior to make sure we had accommodation for when we visited Sydney. Made the payment and even got email confirmation (have screenshot proof but that does not matter at all to them).
They wrote to us a week before the check in date and said we have 24 hours to fix our payment method (there was no issue and they already deducted the money). Before the 24 hours even ended they cancel our reservation and said they’re all booked out. Terrible terrible service, all they had to say was it’s not their problem. Terrible service wouldn’t trust them at all. Merlin was a very rude receptionist and did not help at all, actually made us feel worthless and like it was our fault for making a reservation at that guest house. Make a reservation at this guest house if you want to ruin your trip you’ve been looking forward to for months. Wish I could give a minus star review.

The most perfect place for our stay in Bondi! The location, decor and staff were a dream. Merlin was so helpful and accommodating, making our stay seamless.

Total payment of $1661.05 for 3 rooms was done on 20 September and booking was cancelled on 23 September. Called them on 24 september they were fully booked, apologised and said they'd give me a 10% discount.

I recently stayed at The Baxley and I have nothing but positive things to say. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service thanks Kate on reception for being a Gem throughout my stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive and the attention to detail made me feel like I was in a clinical environment. Every inch of the hotel and bathrooms were spotless, making me feel safe and comfortable during my stay. I highly recommend the Baxley to anyone looking for a relaxing and pristine getaway in a lovely location half way between Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach. Sorry I didn't get to see Kate before I left hopefully I'll be back in soon.

Really easy check in. Easy directions and lots of communication before arriving. The room was lovely and cosey. Had everything you'd need. Bathrooms even though they were shared were spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really comfy beds. Had TV, fridge, sink and desk. I had the best sleeps. Great location, easy walk or bus to Bondi and into the city. I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend to everyone and anyone.

Would not recommend this hotel to friends, due to noise!

The rooms are quite small and incredibly noisy (could hear a phone conversation word for word next door).

Especially for the price we paid, I would have expected a lot higher quality rooms, with proper sound insulation.

When we gave this feedback to staff (including afterward per email), everyone said they’d follow up, but no one actually followed through and got back to us.

What a great little hotel in a great location. This will definitely be my go to place to stay whenever I am in Bondi. Kate at front desk was super welcoming and helped me with all my needs, printing paperwork, staples, highlighters, nothing was too much trouble for her. I'll be back again for sure.

Love The Baxley, have stayed multiple times, service is lovely, rooms and property very clean. Location is perfect for a Bondi stay.

Was my best holiday ever made it on 2015 after 11 hours of flight from Cyprus sleep perfect, good food, paradise, minimalist bedroom

The Baxley is a beautiful, cosy and super central place to stay! It's well priced, and clean and well maintained. Jaye, the manager is incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful! The beds and pillows are phenomenal! I was coming from Toronto, off 30 hours of travelling and slept wonderfully! I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a great place to sleep, and don't need a ton of space, want something central in Bondi but not too close to all the noise. They're located in a smaller street, so it really does feel like you're going in to your own apartment! A big bonus are the people that stay here are also super cool, great vibe over all.

Very overpriced stay; for that kind of money, I do not expect to sleep in a saggy bed that was too small (both my partner's and my legs hung over the end), share a tiny bathroom with other guests, and sleep in a bedroom that was clearly a conversion of a pre-existing balcony. The location was pleasant but it wasn't very convenient either. And when the room was cleaned, they clearly overlooked a few things too.

Spotless, well-decorated, wonderful staff, and walking distance to coffee shops and the beach. Highly recommend if you want to stay by Bondi Beach!

Really enjoyed staying here, my room was tiny but had everything I needed. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, would happily stay here again especially travelling solo.

I stayed at the Baxley Bondi and left my $50 worth of groceries in the lounge, as I saw other guests were doing this too. I left the groceries there for less than 8 hours, as I was out for the day, and they were all gone and taken by the cleaner once I got back. I wasn't told at any stage that it wasn't okay to leave some of your food in the designated kitchen facility that I paid for when booking a stay. The lady at the desk was also rude.

Booked direct with The Baxley which was easy, better priced, and feels more genuine than going through the big players.
House is beautiful and rooms very comfi.
We spent some time in the cozy kitchen area and even had one of our take-away meals there. Being at home away from home.
Everything was meticulously maintained and taken care of and having a Nespresso machine for my much needed espresso was a great feature to have.
Reasonable close to both Bondi Junction and Bondi beach and bus-stops nearby.
All in all very happy!

Simply stunning - no better value in Bondi Beach. Loved this unique guest house, very clean, staff lovely too.
