The Baker's Den Bakery Cafe reviews
40 My sons and I stopped here for lunch and wow it was the best burger i have had since the 80’s.
The staff were so friendly and are what other eateries standards should be.
My coffee was as ordered, a warm long black.
Highly recommended.
Good selection of pies and pastries/cakes. Reasonably priced, tasty and big portions. Plenty of room to eat in as well if you like.
Found this little gem on a road trip up the coast pretty much by chance. Amazing array of foods choices and baked goods and all the food was great. Bacon and egg wrap was great, cakes and all. So much choice!
Bigger than I thought inside Quite crowded for a Thursday at 1pm. Lotsa people enjoying good times together. Four people waiting after I took away my order. Popular
Pies are below average and that was the worst works burger i have ever consumed the "meat" patty was microwaved
Pretty good bakery. Good selection of cakes. Pies and sausage rolls are pretty good. Have to try a roast pork roll next time I'm there it looks the goods
**make this your pit stop if you drive past**
Awesome food with full of flavours and a variety of choices, don’t make a mistake of leaving this place before you try their desert specially the fluffy eclaire absolutely delicious.
Coffee was just spot on.
I am absolutely gobsmacked to see people have given this place 5 stars, or any stars.
Today, for the first time ever, I took two bites out of my pie and checked it in the bin. Their pies look so good in pictures, but when you take a bite, it's full of something that looks like gelatin. So much so, that it's taken over the gravy and looks wobbly. The pie I had no seasoning or flavour.
I asked for soviets, the lady couldn't speak English. I had to do handsigns.
Also, dozens potholes on at the entry of this place, big enough to swallow your entire wheel.
Was hanging for a great pie and after reading the reviews I insisted we come to this place for lunch. Steak Pie was luke warm and gravy was gelatinous. We actually struggled to reach half way.
The milkshake was really tasty and the macadamia slice was pretty good.
The service was mixed. The dark haired young lady and young man in the coffee section (owners/family we gathered) were friendly.
Great homestyle pies with generous filling and sausage rolls. Nice, old-school vanilla slices. Excellent find
Amazing bakery. Very good yummy food and kids rated their hot chocolate as the best hot chocolate!
Lovely crew. Check it out.
Don't know about the pies, but judging by the quiches I have bought they should be fantastic!
Well worth the stop for a pie, they're awesome. There are a nice variety of pies on offer too
I have tried here a few times in the last year for potato pies, sausage rolls and pasties. Pretty average to poor. Do yourself a favour and go another 100 meters and turn left at the hardware store and check out the other pie shop opposite the Yoga Cafe.
Bought a big piece of chicken and received a big piece of chicken. Discreet, self explanatory, and saved my blushes for not being able to swim.
Only recommendation is to add a small piece of chicken on the menu for the less endowed of us.
Kind regards.
Ben
We stop here on the way to Blacksmiths beach. Hot and fresh pastries, sangas and more. Something for everyone here.
This place is a must if your on the north coast, the food in great and coffee is pretty good
Lived near here for a few years but hadn’t eaten from here. A friend suggested we go and try the salt and pepper prawn roll.
Firstly, there were no prawns so had squid. Bit greasy and not enough salt and pepper. Also a chicken Caesar wrap. Worst wrap I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a few. Even Maccas wrap is better. Cold shredded chicken, fatty bacon and greasy onion. Couldn’t see any sauce at all. Heated it up a bit, but didn’t help. Won’t be back. Far better places to eat. Will leave it for the travellers.
Very nice bakery.
Great coffee.
They have all the best alternative milks.
So I've been told, they have the best chicken curry pies.
Worth the drive there.
