The Arena Sports Centre (A30) reviews
12Reliable gym, with increasingly good quality equipment. Metal plates, but they do the job. Big, clean lockerooms. Multiple stands to fill drink bottles with cold water. It also has scales and a new supplement vending/machine.
Squash is really fun but there is little ventilation which makes it quite hot. You need a lot of breaks
Good place for fitness & muscle building with reasonable price. There are plenty of facilities, at least enough for me: P
Great facilities, reasonable pricing and friendly staff. I go to play badminton with friends. The only problem is the badminton court is also used for volleyball and basketball. So it has the court boundaries of everything overlapped in different colours, so it is a bit confusing.
Functional gym with friendly staff and decent membership price.
The place is not very big and not bright enough, but all the equipments work and the members are polite and respectful.
It's not a high-end place, and not very aesthetically pleasing, but works fine for USYD students and staff.
Incredibly friendly staff and patrons (also important!). Cheap and a lot of possibilities.
Quite busy in the afternoon and not quite as broad trading hours as I'd like.
Quite unfriendly staff member looking after badminton court booking. Good court and location, but can be expensive at night, and surface is very slippery.
Rock climbing experience was okay. The skill gap between difficulty levels are very high, in my opinion.
Went there for some time. Seemed to be focused on weightlifting and never considered the staff very approachable.
This place has so much potential but sadly not oriented towards the users but instead the sports union.very sad: (
The 'athlete's gym'. Don't bother coming here if you're into gawking at yourself. People who train here generally train here for reasons other than aesthetics. As a female I feel comfortable here. Trainers are friendly and love what they do.
