Thang Long Restaurant reviews
50 Authentic Vietnamese food, spring rolls were extra crispy. Ordered the pork chop with rice and did not disappoint.
The restaurant does get crowded and gets busy but service was quick.
The food is very stable. But the service staff is very rude and impolite. My friend and I asked the staff member for a small bowl of sauce, but he gave it as if he wanted to throw it in our faces. The second time I ordered a Coke it was the same thing when it came out.
Had lunch here today, pho was pretty good. Pork chop was a little on the thin side but perfectly marinated. The spring rolls and iced coffee were outstanding.
Always my go-to place for pho,
I love to order the pho nam because the bricket is super tender and just breaks down in your mouth without any effort. The broth is always fantastic and has a consistent flavour every time I visit.
The chilli sate is always available here, which I love to dip my brisket in
Quality has gone down, and the pho broth is overly salty. Pho Tau Bay is a better choice for pho.
I've only ordered Pho here (over 10 times) and it's always solid. Their drinks can be hit or miss.
Authentic Vietnamese pho and food, excellent value, in a strongly Vietnamese area of Sydney.
Established long ago
Taste good
Not expensive
Close to other shops n restaurants
Always on point with their pho. Fast service with minimal waiting time. Nicer feel after renovations (done awhile back)
Best restaurant ever seen in Sydney, nowhere to compare. Good foods, good services. Love it.
My family and I went to try this restaurant. Upon arrival the male staff pointed us to our table. We then ordered our meals and kindly asked where the fish sauce was, and the male staff grabbed the bottle and slammed it on our table. The service by these young male individuals is unacceptable and they should not work in customer services. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning ever again.
Caution ️ i ordered special fried rice and seafood with vegetables. The only thing i didn’t get was seafood. It was 90% vegetables, two prawns and two calamari. Absolutely disgusting and paid $45.00 NEVER AGAIN…. Shame on you
Very good Vietnamese food. Affordable and cheap. I have been coming to this place for many years and have found the food to be very consistent and tasty.
Management has changed a few times but the restaurant at its very core hasn't changed too much in the last years.
I entered the restaurant at about 6pm and there weren’t many customers inside. Is that why they suddenly turned off some of the lights which made it a tad bit dark (you can clearly see the lighting from the photos). I noticed that there was menu placed at the entrance and cashier ends of the place as I walked in. And then as I was suggested to be seated at one of the table, the waiter didn’t even give us the menu but just handed two cups for hot tea. I was quite confused as it didn’t happen before when I dined in here last year. When the waiter brought out our dishes, they didn’t even say anything but just put the bowl on the table without asking who’s they’re for. We ended up ordering small combination pho and a vermicelli noodles salad with grilled pork and spring rolls. The pho was indeed quite small compared to price ($13.5) and there weren’t many slices of beef and other toppings like other places. The pho broth was on the sweeter side and I didn’t like it as much. The vermicelli bowl was alright, good portion and toppings but lots of noodles instead of salad and vegetables. No cards payments available. Wouldn’t come back here again. Sorry!
Great beef noodle with tomato soup base is awesome. Noodles are great too! Also great Vietnamese coffee
Blown away by how authentic the food tasted here as well as the quantities. I ordered the special combination Banh Hoi. The best part about the dish was all components including the noodles was still warm and tasted super fresh!
I love this place the broth is clean and delicious and the noodle and fillings are endless, the crispy wontons are super crunchy and tasty. Best to dine in i don’t recommend take away it ruins the experience.
Went here with my kids. Ordered a beef soup and a special fried rice plus two extra bowls for the kids to share meals. I don’t know how many times I had to request for the two sharing bowls. It took ages, the staff need to be well trained to understand what their customers are saying. By the time the bowls were handed over the food was getting cold. Also there’s nothing special about the special fried rice that was a complete waste of money and it needs a big improvement. I don’t know why it’s on the menu if they can’t put decent sized prawns or enough meat. Best to leave things off if it can’t be done right rather than have it on there, just for options.
I ordered vietnamese rice noodle soup here and I really enjoyed it. Service was fast and staff were polite. Lots of beef and tasted nice with chilli sauce. Only thing I wasn't too happy with was that it was bit under seasoned and they don't give spoon
I had the spicy beef stew with egg noodles and the wife had dry egg noodles with mushrooms and vegetables. The stew was delicious but was not as spicy as I was hoping to be. I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. The portion sizes are quite satisfactory. We also ordered the customary over coffee with condensed milk. Always a favourite. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Would love to eat here again.
