Thai Riffic Newtown reviews
67Large portions and nice location. I really enjoyed eating here. I also didn't have to wait long for food to come out and they offered take away containers if you can't finish all your food.
My husband and I got takeaway from here and it was appalling. Satay sticks had no satay sauce, curry puffs tasted like they came from the frozen aisle in coles, pork belly pad Thai was inedible and the masaman only had one piece of potato and 2 pieces of meat. Almost $90 for all of this. Just disgusting. I would not even bother!
Pad thai had two bit of chicken and almost no tofu / egg / spring onion.quality to price ratio is no good
Awesome. Fried Crab and Beetle Leaves amasing. Bit of a shame about the Crying Tiger as it was honey sweet, no chili heat and not like traditional dish however the beef was tender and plentiful so whatever it was it was ok I suppose.
Thai Riffic was pumping when we arrived. We were able to be a walk up and get seated (with a promise to leave just over an hour later as the table was booked - no issues for us with hungry kids!). We came here due to a review on GF near me and it did not disappoint. The GF pad see ew and mussaman curry were amazing. The service was great. Would definitely recommend.
I bought takeaway because I was in a rush. Came home and saw a bug in my vegetable and tofu pad kee mao. Definitely won’t be back.
I went here because I saw a YouTube video about the place and I can say it absolutely lived up to the hype. One of the best Thai feeds I’ve had in ages and the staff were so friendly
Delicious food and friendly staff. We were regular here before Covid hit. And had good relationship with their staff. Post covid; despite the new faces their food remained a constant. Amazing!
The beef salad is way too small. Other Thai restaurants have a much bigger portion compared to this one.
Got the Soft Shell Crab Pad Thai for $27 and I’ve never seen such a big bowl of food. Took the leftovers home so it was 2 meals worth. Was amazing. The only thing that would be a bit of a downside would be the mock tails are quite heavy on ice for a $13 drink, but other than that it was a great experience. Good customer service too!
The fried rice is amazing, I had the crispy pork belly dish which wasnt too good. The crackling was hard and the pork was rubbery/chewy.
It's ok Thai retaurant.but the price for dinner time seems a little high for a casual Thai dining.
My friend chose to go to this restaurant. The atmosphere is good and the staffs are good but the foods. I'm disappointed and same as my other friend the foods are quite salty and not really have much taste. Sorry.
One of the best chicken and rice dishes I’ve ever had. Tender chicken, fragrant ginger rice, and flavourful sauces… just delicious. Lunch specials are very affordable too.
Some of the best Thai i have ever had and very affordable. I highly recommend the skewers. We will definitely be back to try more dishes.
The fried rice is good, but with the lamb, the smell has not been handled well, I still find it a bit smelly. Anw, I still like the food here.
The manager is too rude with the customers. As customer I was picking up a order from Uber and the manager yelled me like a employee.
Very desapointted service.
Very disappointing. Organised my day around having an early lunch before going to a show, time was tight. Got there at 11am to discover that its opening hours are 12pm when the website states 11am.
Lunch plans ruined, no time for other options. Change your website opening hours
Food was adequate. Staff however very stingy charging extra 10cents per plastic bag despite of the expensive bills that we paid for our dinner plus on top of that containers has been charge 50cents each. I remember last couple of months we dine in and we asked for a plum sauce which they also charge another 50cents for a tiny sauce. Absolutely disgraceful as staff arevery argumentative and abrupt to the customers. They need to be professionl and needs to be aware that customer is always right.
