This is one of the best Thai restaurants we've ever been to. They have a separate vegan menu. We've tried their Vegan thai green curry, jasmine rice, coconut rice, pad Thai and beetle leaf tofu. They all taste amazing. I absolutely live their Thai milk tea too. The restaurant is always booked so it's better to make reservation here. Paid street parking available around here but it's a bit difficult to find one. Highly recommend trying out this restaurant.

I celebrated my anniversary here. The balloons on the table were very nice and made me feel special. Highly recommend!

Came here with some friends for dinner - everything was packed with flavour and absolutely delicious. Some of the entrees were quite nice too. Shame it’s so far away, but it’s definitely worth going to!

I absolutely loved this place. Very interesting interior. Great service. Excellent food. I can probably pin this as the best Thai food I've had in my life. Too bad that I don't live in Sydney, I'd definitely frequent the place on a regular basis.

The best Thai Food! I have been visiting Thai Pathong for the last five years and I must acknowledge the quality of food, service and atmosphere! Not once have I went to this restaurant and left disappointed.

This is equal first as my favourite Thai restaurant. The food is amazing. Very authentic, not too sweet, like so much of the Thai food in Australia seems to be. All the dishes are mouth watering. I have eaten at so many Thai restaurants and its really my favourite, along with another in Kingford.

First time we came in here and we tried a few different dishes like always. And yet, once all the food one by one came in our table and we tried one by one of it and a million percent definitely we will come in back. We're another happy customer. Keep up the good work guys.

My family and I have been dining here for about 15 years. Apologies for the delayed review. This is a very good, high quality restaurant that you would want to take your future wife or husband to. Great for a special occasion. Don't expect to find cheap $15 mains here - go to your local food court for that!

Its a crazy busy Friday night in newton, no surpise there. We had no chance to make a booking as a cousin made a surprise visit. We headed to Newton and knew without a booking we could be in quite a wait.but no they had us seated in no time.

Fantastic food and incredible service. Food was great. Lamb in one dish was a little tough for the style of the dish but the sauce was amazing. We could taste why the sauce for this dish has been award winning.

Loved the set up they have for all the attending birthday dinner groups and how they actually sing happy birthday and photos.

Great atmosphere, really forward to attending again.

You just can’t go wrong with Thai here. We have been coming since it opened over 20 years ago. Sensational value foe money.

Make a reservation. Decent food, kinda overrated though. Tables are somewhat small and with a couple of dishes ordered, it's a struggle to find any space on the table. Staff were great though and menu is quite extensive as well as for beverages. Best parking option is the secure parking near the Newtown train station.

Excellent food, authentic Thai cuisine. Fresh ingredients. Quickly served, or within a reasonable time between dishes. Extensive menu choice.

Warm inside, plenty of tables on ground floor and level one (1). Beautiful hosts and genuine hospitality all round.

This is an excellent spot for a birthday dinner. Great at accommodating large groups as well as different dietary requirements. Also very reasonably priced for the excellent quality authentic Thai food. They really put effort in and show care for you on your birthday, one of the few places that'll really go the extra mile with their hospitality. Highly recommended!

Poor organisation, made a booking for 7: 30pm days prior to Saturday 5/03/2021 for my partners birthday. However on the day of, the restaurant called me and changed my reservation to 8pm, which I agreed too.

We had to wait in an hour long line in the cold till 9pm and left without even entering into the restaurant. Extremely disappointed to say the least!

I have been to Thai Pothong at Newtown many times and it is always amazing. Last night was my girlfriend Yanisa’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond and made it a super special night. They are friendly, great quick food service and the food itself is by far the best Thai food I have had outside of being in Thailand. Thanks again everyone and can’t wait to see you all again soon.
