As caravaners with just three days to spend in Tenterfield, I thought to ask the experts. And I sure did! We travel with our dog which excludes so many things. The lovely lady (forgive me for not remembering your name) was so helpful. She went out of her way to think of spots we can visit.
I had done the usual search engine looks with some conflicting answers. It was great to have places we can confidently go.

Tenterfield is an iconic place to visit in Australia. Why oh why is the Visitors Centre closing? I do not understand!
People like us who arrive next month will not have access to this service
Surely the wonderful volunteers could be accommodated in a small shopfront.
Minimal cost……big financial input from informed travellers. JR

We went there this morning and the gentleman that helped us (sorry forgot his name) was fantastic. His knowledge was incredible and he was so friendly. Please Tenterfield council don't go the way of other councils and close this great facility, travellers rely on them to get the best out of your area

Amazing volunteers were so very helpful. The gentleman went the extra mile to deliver brochures to the caravan park.

Am sure the people at the centre do a great job however our sole purpose for overnighting in Tenterfield was to visit the Saddlery.
We arrived on advertised hours and
unfortunately it was closed.
Feel perhaps if this happens, maybe
someone from the Centre could open. After all, majority of people visiting from afar, do so because of the Saddlery history, thanks to Peter Allen.

Staff member was quite rude and dismissive. We normally always stop at information centres but not this one again.

Friendly very informative.
The lady (so sorry we didn't get your name) couldn't have been more helpful, guiding us through places to visit in Tenterfield and even assisted us with the next leg of our journey.
They also have a great selection of souvenirs.
10/10 recommend a visit.

It was closed on a Sunday due to Covid. Seriously, if you can open the other 6 days of the week, surely a weekend day of a long weekend was not the right choice. Very disappointed.

My partner rang to ask if a certain place was open as phone number was disconnected. He was intending to take elderly father to a place where he'd grown up and to see an old acquaintance - only to have the woman at the centre very curtly advise him about the drought and bushfires. He had asked if there was a problem at this particular place, asked for the correct phone number, and was fully aware of the local situation. Her attitude was so rude, he ended the conversation quickly without getting the info he needed.

Extremely helpful staff helping me with map advice to a different way around the fire cut off high way. Every bit of info about the the way ahead of me was spot-on. What a team drop in you can't go wrong and neither can they.
