Ted Horwood Reserve reviews
28Home of the Kookas, Baulkham Hills FC. 5 Fields, dual parking areas and nice bushland setting. Tennis courts, cricket nets and a Kids play area, a popular local spot.
I play tennis here regularly. This place is very well managed and maintained. Playing at night is also great under the lights. The children’s park is great for kids but a bit too small. The football grounds are amazing and walking tracks are great for running and walks.
A huge area with 2 carparks and 4 huge grounds for community sports and a netball area. Lacks shade options and hence not that great for picnics. There is a couple of areas with benches abd shade to fit 1-2 small groups of 5-10people.
Nice and green.
The ground size is 60m which is good for a seasonal team. Well managed ground
Well maintained, clean and functional bathrooms. Superb bush location. Ovals well constructed and most well drained.
Lovely place to take your dog's but be careful as warmer weather brought out a adult red belly black snake. Right beside the basket ball courts so keep doggies on a leash, and away from long grass.
Such a peaceful place to play tennis. The trees seems magical and it is my favourite spot to play tennis in the hills.
Multiple Cricket grounds with number of tennis courts. Entry is bit weird but next to the exit, you might miss it. Parking is away (downwards) from the cricket ground.
Nice area to bring your family for just a simple walk/run, play soccer, cricket, simple picnic or even fly a kite:) There is a small play ground too. You can even book a court if you are into playing tennis.
Played tennis there today, really nice courts in a tranquill bush setting. Forgot to take photos next time.
Always has been a great park with lots of things to do. Tennis, netball, soccer, cricket, hockey, playground, running and bush walking.
It is a place where various sports facilities are well equipped, and the surrounding scenery is good.
Several areas for different sports, a good playground, some BBQs. A bit of a hike from the main carpark up to the facilities.
I'm yet to try the walking track.
Has a little bit of everything, including tennis courts, basketball courts, netball courts, BBQ facilities, cricket net, community nursery
Getting into trail running (or in my case. 'trail brisk-walking') and love the trails you can follow. Just make sure your gps is working or you take a map as it is easy to take a wrong turn and get disorientated. During the weekend, the trails can get a little busy. I love that we have this bushland in our own backyards. Also, if you love dogs but don't actually own one yourself, you can get your daily fix of dog pats here:)
Loved coming here with my best friend! Such a peaceful walk, it was a little hard to get back to our car towards the ends only cause I'm not so fit lol but I'd do this again! It was so much fun, we stopped to have a picnic too.
Nice reserve with plenty to explore and well maintained.
Parking: plenty of parking (on both sides).
Washrooms: well maintained.
Kids playing area with rides.
Two twin cricket nets and grounds.
Tennis courts.
Basketball ball court
Tracking area.
This nature reserve is a terrific place for a leisurely stroll yet still want to get the heart pumping. There are stairs and climbs turning dry eucalyptus forest into a luscious green creek path beneath. The carpark atop has ample parking and the tracks are marked helpfully with sign posts. The nod and honour to the Bildigal people are extra special and we even spotted an eastern water dragon and an ECHIDNA on the way back!
Great covering of grass this year. Have not seen it better. Only sore point, Field 5 well let's just day averaging less runs than Glenn McGrath. TIP may need flippers after mild showers.
The cricket pitch here has been greatly improved in the last 6 months. Good work 'grounds keeper'. There's actually quite a lot of sports facilities here.cricket oval and nets, tennis, netball, basketball etc. And also a great children's park plus clean BBQ area and shaded/undercover seating area.
