Was told if i want my tax sooner i have to pay an extra fee of $85 on top of the $130 fee. I have been waiting for my money nearly 2 weeks now. It takes 2 weeks from ato i think the name "tax today" should be changes seems you can no longer get a refund the same day!

Absolutely ridiculous. Charges me $130 to do a simple return that gave me a $220 estimate (after fees). Couldn't do that properly to the point that I got audited and charged an additional $600. Then contacts me after 3 years and serves me a final notice stating I owe a further $270 because their estimate was incorrect. One half hour trip to this office has now cost me $1000.

Edit. Since writing this review these people have been condescending, rude and hard to deal with.

They've even given me a " friemdly reminder" that it is an offence to provide incorrect and slanderous information.which would worry me if any part of my review was incorrect or slanderous - the email trail I have supports that.

All bills with this lot are now settled thank goodness, hopefully that's the last I ever have to deal with them again.

I have used these agents for years and they have always been nice and given good advice. Never had a problem with getting a return even when i chose to wait for the tax department rather than the "get it now for a fee" option.

Most UNPROFESSIONAL tax agent I've ever dealt with. No attention to detail what so ever - Got multiple sections wrong within my lodgement and the cause of this was the accountants laziness and poor attention to detail. Save yourself and go somewhere else!

I went with my brother today to get his tax refunded and whilst making small talk with one of the receptionists, I shared a story of a mix-up I had with my brother previously. A while later as my brother and I sat in the waiting room, I overheard one of the office ladies talking about the mix-up I had with my brother, commenting "how stupid could she be? ", and laughing, whilst my brother and I were in the waiting area less than 5 metres away.
Not only was I extremely embarrassed by this, but I was also shocked at how unprofessional this behaviour was. The layout of the building is very open and therefore conversations held by the receptionists are easy to overhear.
Prior to this occurrence, the receptionists were well mannered and very helpful to me and my brother, and so it saddens me that my experience was brought down by one receptionists unprofesionallism.
