Just popped in for a tasting and the lady serving us was friendly however, only advised of the tasting charge upon her first pour. To avoid awkwardness we agreed and the wines were very nice.

I would definitely suggest in future, deducting the tasting charge from a purchase though. We bought 4 bottles and paid $150. Other cellar doors offer a little snack with tasking when they charge and many waive the tasting charge with a purchase.

The wines were nice but the cellar door was a little clinical without much atmosphere. I feel a little ripped off.

What happened to the menu!

The eclectic breakfast was bad it's suppose to be there big breakfast but what came out was one chipolata, two eggs no bread, slimy mushrooms, some beans and a wedge hash brown with a tiny bit of chicken ribs lol

What sort of big breakfast comes with no bread how are you suppose to eat your poached eggs are you suppose to mash it into the slimy mushrooms?

I didn't eat it I just packed it into a doggy bag for my dog at home not worth the money at all.

It just baffles me because last time I was there it was a good menu now it's turned bad

Plus we waited 45 minutes for a bad breakfast

If your looking for a decent breakfast don't get the eclectic breakfast not worth it

I don't know what happened with this place, about a few months ago it was good now it's just turned bad there was like no more than 15 people and we waited so long I should have known better but I gave this place the benefit of the doubt, this place was really disappointing

the waitresses were good the chef needs a wake up call if he/she thinks it's a good menu lol

Anyways this one is a thumbs down for sure

Maybe the wine is good here and the day menu but the breakfast is another story

Tom is fantastic! He knows a lot about the wines and is also a great conversationalist that really adds to the experience. We had an absolutely great time here and would recommend this to anyone else coming to the Hunter region. Definitely a must try. The food is also amazing.

Perfect day to spend a day here. Wonderful cafe & friendly service. Their brownie is simply to die for.amazingly delicious

Then to the wine tasting. Tania was patient friendly and most of all she takes time to provide a very personal service.

Location wise it's in the middle of the wine region and they stand up among all other wineries in the area.

This was such a lovely experience, Tanya the manager is AMAZING! She went above and beyond for us, we often come to the hunter valley and it was one of our best winery experiences in a very long time, the winery itself it beautiful, the food is delish and the wines are superb, this will be one of our favorite winery's from now on!

A group of friends shared the Lodge accommodation at Tatler. It had all the facilities for a comfortable stay. The highlight was the ‘wine tasting’ hosted by Tanya. She was wonderful giving us background on how Tatler Wines was started and information on the various wines - which by the way were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Probably the best time we have had at a cellar door! Tanya was entertaining and easy to talk to about wines. We walked away with more bottles than we thought we would!

We turned up for a wine tasting 30 minutes before closing as our flight was delayed 7.5 hours to try to get a quick tasting in so the day wasn’t completely lost.
We wanted a quick tasting and was made to feel totally welcome and not an inconvenience at all at that time of day.
We tried some delicious wines and received some excellent information.
I can highly recommend them as a great place to try. This was our first time at the Hunter, but my sisters been coming for 30 years and said the service was unbelievable.

Thanks, Tanya and Tom. Your really friendly approach was much appreciated. Your knowledge of the wines were par to none and you had great suggestions to make us come back again. Angelo & Suzie

After an average winery tour the day before it was such a delight to go to Tatler Winery and experience genuine hospitality from Tania who clearly loved her job. We had a wonderful wine tasting that was knowledgeable and fun. We highly recommend visiting Tatler Winery.

We popped into Tatler Wines after reading the reviews stating 'the best wine tasting in the Hunter Valley' and we completely agreed. The wines were absolutely delicious, and we learned so much more about the wines and how they're made from Tanya. Thank you for being so friendly and fun, turning our intended quick 30 min wine tasting into a 2 hour session. We even came back the next day for more and signed up to be members. We have been sharing our new fave wines with the family at home- see the pic for how well Tatler Wines go with a cheese board in the spa.

We absolutely loved the tasting experience here. Not only were the wines spectacular but Tanya was an outstanding host. She made us feel so comfortable as she shared her knowledge about wines in a very relaxed and friendly way. We loved her suggestions to “experiment” with wine by adding fruit or even gin and aromatics and we can’t wait to try these non traditional ideas! We will be back to visit soon and would highly recommend this winery be on your list to visit.

This is a fabulous winery! More importantly, the great wines are superbly show cased by Tania, the cellar door manager, whose charm, exuberance and knowledge of the wines make a visit here memorable for all the right reasons!

We had the most delightful wine tasting experience here. Tanya adeptly walked us through the wines with humour and generosity. The wines themselves were delicious and we were happy to make a purchase. Only wish that we will be able to find this in Canada when we return home.

The two of us went to Tatler without a booking on the off chance as we were in the Newcastle area, and I’m so glad we did!
We managed to try some wines in the garden and they were even generous enough on this occasion to let us try different wines each. Tom was amazing and it got quite busy for him but he always had a smile on his face and was very enthusiastic
Highly recommended Tatler just for Tom’s service, as well as all the delicious wine

I've done many wine tastings and this was one of the best experiences I had so far. Beautiful selection of wines, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The tasting was well presented, with history and insights into the wine world, plus the people were great to talk to! We had a great chat with one of the owners too.

Just had one of the best tasting ever. Passion of wines Tanya who knew everything from sparkling wines to how it should be served with to bring out even more the wonderful flavours that already exists. A must for everyone to experience a tasting of a great selection of wines.

A Chardonnay so delicious I had to provide a review.
I am far from being a sommelier however this Tatler Chardonnay named ‘Dimitri’s paddock’ after the Isakidis family pioneer in Australia is sweet enough to be enjoyed by all and would pair well with many meals as it’s not over powering.
High quality work by wine maker Daniel Binet.
Put it on the list

I had my birthday celebration at Tatler Winery with approx 40 guests in the indoor-outdoor room. Tanya from Tatler and Tess from Mockingbird Cafe made it so easy to organise. The food was delicious, the wines are really good and the staff were great. The venue is relaxing, it couldn’t have been better.
