62Good pub food last night with separate fryer for gluten free calamari and chips. View of ocean another bonus from either inside or large balcony.
Pleasant atmosphere nice location and good beer. However I have found that it’s a real hit or miss with the food.regrettably I ordered thee worst butter chicken ever and a not to sticky, sticky date pudding with a teaspoon of caramel sauce with even less ice cream - I let the front staff know but they didn’t seem to be very interested.
Great staff, lovely atmosphere and food was fresh and very tasty. Had Merimbula oysters Kilpatrick, parmesan truffle fries and a beer tasting paddle. Beers were brewed in house at the Humpback Brewery, extremely good value for money and enjoyed all of them.
This place totally ticks all the boxes, Rooms are elegantly set, clean, modern, spacious, high ceilings even a verandah to sit and relax after a few drinks. The food was excellent, had 2 lunches and dinner while staying, did not disappoint. The service from the staff was top class, very helpful and friendly from check in to check out. Love the Dark Whale Stout (favourite) and possibly the best I have tasted from a micro brewery. Our experience over the 2night stay measures up to any 5 star hotel to date. Hats off to all the staff and owners. A definate MUST visit.
Has all the atmosphere of a dead fish. Lovely Hotel and Room but that's it.
Needs background music, TV in the corner, open fire all in the Bistro.we would not go back. Beautuful Hotel, badly managed
Food was overpriced and not that great, view and location is great. Great playground for the kids to run around in
Lunched at the Hotel restaurant; excellent meal! I had the grilled octopus and pork sausage - strange combination I thought but it was delicious! Washed down with one of their in-house brewed IPAs, which was also fabulous. Service was friendly and efficient. The view from the deck is beautiful, although it started to rain. Definitely recommended.
We enjoyed dinner here in October 2021. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Food was good. Views are good too. Recommended.
Very modern, upgraded hotel with beautiful ocean views.
Friendly service - Food was very nice, but $24.00 for a cheeseburger is way too pricey for pub food.
If you are feeding a family or shouting friends you best have deep pockets.
The price of food covers the big modern renovations.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Had a very enjoyable night with family at the Tathra Hotel.
Just went in for dinner on a road trip expecting normal pub food and was pleasantly surprised. This place has topped my list of best restaurants that I’ve been to. Although it’s a bit pricey for a uni student () it was so worth it. We got the pulled pork burger and smashed avo and hollandaise chicken on special and the sticky date pudding for dessert and it was soooo good I’ve never inhaled food so quickly! My boyfriend loved the craft beer. It’s a very warm and friendly atmosphere for winter. 5 stars!
Spontaneously found this pub on a roadtrip, walked in to find house made craft beer, woodfire pizza and live music. Safe to say the roadtrip was delayed.
Had an amazing vegan meal - I had the Buddha bowl I think it was called and my vegan partner had the vegan burger! Both were amazing such great catering for all dietary needs ️
Nice hotel good food good service pleasant surroundings only had dinner there. Clean pleasant staff made sure we were looked after
Love how they've done the Reno in keeping with the style of the old pub you can still sit on the verandah out the front and enjoy a cold one looking across the bay New outdoor deck is fantastic great meals and service
Definitely not your tradie pub. Plenty of room, great views, great food, great service, and great in-house brewed beers. A must do when visiting the Far South Coast.
Enjoyed our visit. Great location with a good variety of food. Beers brewed on site with a good wine selection as well. Was a bit taken back with 15% surcharge on a public holiday. Just hoping staff got paid extra.
Pretty much budget accommodation - a strange mix of some renovations eg new beds, and rundown bathrooms and peeling carpet. No microwave. Dangerous for anyone mobility impaired - poor external lighting around the driveway, uneven surfaces. My elderly companion took a fall and opened her forehead, sprained her finger. Great views, but next door construction noisy. I would stay in a pinch, but not one to reminisce about.
Great pub, great location - spectacular views way up along the coast. Good food, lunch and dinnertime, many interesting beers on tap. Live music!
Terrible hotel. Without a doubt don’t stay here if can be helped.
My mum and I stayed here end of Easter, and the night following - paid for two nights, two rooms.
Firstly - They don’t tell you the “deluxe” or “high end” rooms are actually in the pub, up the stairs, then on top of bar/main pub area and it’s a mezzanine level - you’ll hear everything all night.
Secondly - there’s no phone or direct line to talk to someone if there is anything that’s not working / or even to get information on the area / services provided
Thirdly - no wifi. Da fuggggg. It’s 2021. You’re in a significant urban area. It’s a total requirement. - tried speaking to the manager about this, got all defensive; me he can do blah blah.
Few other things. Reception looks like a store room, tv is tiny, there’s construction next door. Nothing peaceful or relaxing about this establishment.
Overall. Terrible customer experience and zero f***s were given. Really poor attitude from staff won’t be coming back etc
