Tandoori Express

Good value and tasty Indian introduced to me and endorsed by an English friend who loves a curry. He and his English friends agree, one of the better indian restaurants in sydney.

The food and service was very nice. We tried the Palak paneer, Tandoori Chicken, Kashmiri Chicken Tikka with rice. It was so full of flavours. Definitely a reccomendation to everyone. Dont miss out yall

Very friendly staff. The food was so delicious and tasty. The meat in the entrees meat platter was so tender and flavoursome. Plenty of seat.

Excellent Indian restaurant, it's been a long time since I ate such a good Korma! My father had the lamb curry, also very good. We left delighted: an address to remember! The staff is very friendly.

At last a decent Curry House on King St. Does not look promising from the outside but the food is beautifully cooked. Nice and spicy, you can ask for extra spice when you order from the menu.

Its taken me 20 years of living in Australia to find a curry that's anything close to my home town of Bradford, UK.

And my friends you nailed it.

Mango pickle was sensational
Mixed starter spot on and very generous serving
The beef vindaloo (hot) was as good if not better than (I know I've said it) than an English Indian curry

Arrived fast and hot via uber eats. All of the curries and naan varieties were great. Will reorder!

Only order here if you are prepared to wait. Ordered at 7pm for delievery at 7: 30, order kept getting delayed until 9pm when they cancelled my order. It will honestly be quicker to book a plane ticket to India and learn how to cook the food myself. Useless and rude staff who would not even acknowledge my complaint and hung up the phone.

Ate in. Some items precooked mixed entree. Service items such as replacing empty water bottles matter a lot. Once food was served no further proactive service. Mango Lassi not freshly made (this is Mango season.).

It took almost 2 hours for the food to be delivered. The taste was not bad but the food was little cold.

Excellent for a quick dinner. Special is great value and Currys very flavoursome however is not very spicy

Not only is this one of the best take away places in Newtown, but they also have nice seating for dine in. Very clean and food is top notch!

Been regularly ordering here for years and food was always incredible. Recent ownership change has changed the recipes and I’m extremely disappointed. If anyone knows where the previous owners went, please let me know!

I came here a few months back, a place selected by my friends. I usually avoid Indian food due to the spices however I really enjoyed the food at this place. I ordered the mango chicken. It was sweet, hearty and filling. I didn't even need to order any rice with it. The service was quite pleasant which enabled us to enjoy the rest of our evening.

I’m not sure if this place has changed ownership as it seems to be a whole new team working here. However since this team/ownership change, the curries have changed and are very watered down now. We have been getting takeaway from here for years, but have not enjoyed the food we have eaten the last couple of times over the last month.

I had the vegetable korma and mangi lassi take away. It was delicious and excellent value for money. Would recommend.

Excellent genuine wholesome dishes
Those magic bowls don't look so big when they land on my table but they are deep and too much to eat on your own. Bring your homey.

WOW! Give it a go for yourself!
I've always walked past this place and never been that bothered by trying it with its relatively ordinary interior.
However the other day I tried it from Deliveroo as it had high ratings and quick service. I can tell you it did not disappoint!
The curry was so spicy and flavoursome, the naan was huge and it all came super hot, ready to eat.
I can't wait to try more of their dishes!

We've just received a completely wrong this from this restaurant under total denial. This meet with festering off meat, clearly had a strong pungent smell. I contacted the restaurant in order to calmly resolve this. Total denial and hung up.

Was initially sceptical about it due to the name tandoori express but thought I'd give it a shot. Unfortunately however I wasn't proven wrong and it was pretty poor quality.

Both curries were sweet and one of them tasted more like Heinz tomato soup than a butter chicken curry.

If you're going to have a business selling curry, at least try.
