Tamworth Regional Gallery reviews
8The regional gallery is located upstairs above the library on the Main Street of Tamworth. Free to enter the gallery is new and has some nice exhibits in the small gallery. The open space is relaxing and the art work is surprisingly good for a regional gallery. Would recommend visiting while in Tamworth.
Nice small gallery, Gold exhibition was on and items from the Newcastle Museum were on show.
Had some interesting exhibitions but not a large variety. The sculptures were thought provoking. Liz Priestley's exhibition was a high standard of art.
Beautiful gallery which is amazingly curated and has a cute gift shop. The staff are very friendly.
This is a great regional gallery which usually has three different exhibitions running to maximise the chance that something will appeal. On my most recent visit—yesterday—there was a dark and thought provoking exhibition about Indigenous massacres by Australian colonisers centred around the Myall Creek massacre (one of the few times justice was served and the white perpetrators were hung). There was also “Abundant Wonder” an exhibition by Melbourne artist, Tom Moore. It’s a fantastical and fun glass exhibition that I enjoyed viewing. Staff make you feel welcome by taking the time to explain the exhibitions and chat without being intrusive.
What a calm quiet little cafe in the main street
Really good value and the nicest girls
Plenty of African baskets and a range of teas and condiments
Nice n well organised gallery in the same building with public gallery. No entry fee but please donate to maintain this beautiful gallery
The lady here was super helpful with information about events in town while we were there. The exhibition we saw was fabulous. Definitely worth a visit
