Awesome day on the water the crew, all volunteers, were brilliant and helped make the day a joy. Thoroughly recommended and will be back again!

I was an apprentice in 1987 as a boilermaker and my first job was working on this beauty as ir was on a floating pontoon learning all old school techniques gotta give thanks to my old supervisor Joe Kirchbuger for his support

Meticulously restored iron-hulled sailing ship that offers cruises to the public once a month. Check their website for full details. You can get a close-up look at the outside whilst walking around the foreshore - it’s about 10 minutes walk from the Maritime Museum.

This ship is an amazing historical ship and well worth a visit.
The ship has been restored to near original condition with similar methods to it's original building. You can see the crew quarters, galley, bridge and sails and get a good feel for what life must have been like.
The crew of the ship are all volunteers who love their job and who love talking about the ship.

Very professionally organised cruises. Ample seating (in fair weather).

What a wonderful ship, so, so pleased that she is ours. I'm a volunteer for SHF, get onboard & enjoy this historic ship and many more.

The James Craig is one of the best undiscovered things to do in Sydney. The boat is run almost entirely by volunteers who are friendly and care passionately about the boat and its proud history. To be part of an expedition sailing out through the heads for a day will be a lifetime memory. The views are amazing all the way from start to finish. The lunches and drinks that are provided are also exceptional. We encourage everyone to support this not for profit. The prices for a ticket are well worth it, and far superior to anything that you might pay on the commercial vessels.
