Sydney Ultrasound for Women - Burwood

Horrendous experience at Burwood. I echo all the previous reviews criticizing the receptionist specifically. We had a middle aged woman with shoulder level gold-brown hair and red glasses. She was extremely rude. She refused to book on my wife’s next appointment because she was too busy apparently. She also told us we were an hour early (because they were running behind) but refused to apologize for the delay on their end. Would not recommend given how stressful it is already for pregnant women. I bet they’ll reply gaslighting me and defending the receptionist (if at all), but look at all the bad reviews about a rude receptionist. Worst medical admin I’ve experienced in my life.

I switched to this clinic after a horrible and unforgettable experience in the Bondi Junction clinic. This is the best SUFW I have been to.

I returned for my second borns scans and it was so lovely that the friendly receptionist remembered me from my first borns appointments. The nurse and sonographers were so kind. Couldn’t recommend this location more!

I had an appointment in this clinic for my first time with Dr Ritu, She was absolutely professional and educated Doctor.thank you Dr Ritu. The receptionist was friendly and quite nice, clinic was very clean, highly recommended

I went to this clinic today and had an exceptional experience. Receptionist is a young lady and she welcomed me in very friendly way. The clinic very clean and hygiene. All the staff work very efficiently so, we don’t have to wait for so long. The nurse who helped me with the blood withdrawal also superb. She’s very kind and friendly. Overall, I had smooth process and super happy with the experience in this clinic. I definitely will come back for my 20weeks scan at this clinic!

Excellent Service and Smooth Process

I recently visited a medical facility where the personal receptionist, sonographer, and nurse provided an exceptional experience. The receptionist warmly greeted me and efficiently handled my paperwork. The sonographer was professional and explained the procedure with care. The nurse was polite and attentive throughout the examination. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this facility for their professional and polite service, creating a positive and efficient experience for patients.

Why is it so hard to get a hold of SUFW? I’ve been waiting on hold for over half an hour and tried several different numbers. I couldn’t imagine it being busy at 8am, how am I supposed to make an appointment if no one picks up the phone?

The woman who answered phone was incredibly rude.

Especially pregnant women should never choose this place.adversely affect health and stress

If you want to get bad mood all day choose this clinic.

I called for a reservation around 1: 50 on the 19th of January and woman who answered my call as if annoying, kept repeating clicking tongues and just hung up my phone right away.this is your attitude I am not interested in improving your service.because it's already the worst, I won't let go of what happened to me.

Wouldn’t recommend this place as receptionist is not friendly and rude. Also told me that I couldn’t bring my 8 months old to an appointment even though he will be sitting in the pram not disturbing anyone or touching anything and informed them I will not be bringing in a support person but will haveto bring my son instead since I can’t get a babysitter. I was told to find another place. I’ve been coming to this place for 5 years with all my pregnancies mainly kogarah clinic. Never had a problem with kogarah clinic though always an issue with Burwood clinic. I hope you really do fix your staff and also be abit more understanding to your patients and expecting mothers with young children.

This place has good facilities but the WORST people. The receptionist is a narcissist B/#@! That repeatedly refers to babies as "IT" and goes out of her way to be as rude as possible. Fix your people by teaching them manners.

Worst experience of my pregnancy for a follow up scan to check growth. The sonographer Measured the bones incorrectly which distressed my husband and I as we thought something was wrong with our baby and resorted me to go see the doctor at the Kent street one with another sonographer turns out baby was fine. The scan was done incorrectly. I do not recommend SUSFW BURWOOD. But I must say Susan who works there at front desk is just so amazing and the customer service manager who called me right away to discuss the matter and apologise. Such a shame as i love SUSFW but this location i will not be going back to. I highly recommend Kent street such a team of professionals and experts.

We had a fabulous experience at this practice. The staff were kind and friendly and the practice was warm and inviting. Thank you for making the experience feel special for my partner and I.

I disagree with the negative reviews. I attended based on the recommendation of my obgyn. Unfortunately the scan showed no foetal heatbeat. The receptionist was extremely caring and compassionate. They bulk-billed on compassionate grounds (without request) due to my pregnancy not being viable. This gesture of kindness was much appreciated in the circumstances, thank you.

Thankyou so much Sue for going above and beyond to organise my last Ultrasound for me. You called me to check that i could make it and when i couldn't make it you contacted Chatswood tirelessly to ensure i would get an appointment.

Your kindness and warmth meant the world to me. I felt like my "Mum"" was looking after me and that was so reassuring. Thankyou Sue, i really appreciated your efforts.

The ladies here are spectacular, so warm, kind and always go up and beyond for any requests or bookings. This has been my second pregnancy with them and each time has been professional and a very quick. The receptionist has always been kind and understanding. I would'nt suggest anywhere to go but them.

I had my second trimester ultrasound here today but I had to say that I had some pretty unimpressed experience with the receptionist. My previous experience within the centre was quite nice (although the receptionist changed everyone) so it did surprise me the experience was so inconsistent.
I had some trouble to get some full pictures of the baby because the bladder was not completely filled with water. So I had to go back in about an hour. When the receptionist found out, first thing she said was “I need to get your money first because I will be on my lunch break”in a very rude way, making it sound like it was my fault to interrupt her lunch break. When I was abut to leave the door the second time, she spoke to another patient and being sarcastic saying “you must drink lots of water you don’t know how many wasting our time not doing so”, and the volume of her voice, was to ensure I could hear it too.

I felt ashamed and had to leave quickly, but to be honest why did I have to feel this way?

I also heard she yelled at another lady, when she tried to go to bathroom about the same thing. I understood how important it is to get a clear picture with water, but surely there’s better way to speak about it. I’ve seen other receptionists doing it very professionally so her attitude today was very unnecessary.

If I had to be specific about this particular receptionist, she’s about 40-50yrs old with curly off shoulder light brown hair. All in all, I’m hoping this is a one-off experience and other pregnant ladies do not have to feel this way, while pregnancy is already stressful enough and should be treated with care.

Very bad experience, the named 56 years Old woman answer the phone with a very rude attitude and yelled all the time, shut the phone before i make the booking.

Receptionist was very rude. Washroom was out of soap even after telling the lady at the reception, she didn’t care to provide soap for handwash. All she cared about was money. In covid times when everyone is practicing more hygiene, i was shocked to see their sluggish attitude.

I had two nurses attend to me today for my first scan here and a blood test, they were very warm and attentive and made me feel at ease right away. Thank you!

Very nice team! They accomdated me on a time sensitive basis and were so so sweet. The lady who did my ultrasound was so friendly and was explaining everything. Would definitely recommend and would go back again!
