Generally ok, until you have a faulty product. After that they just don't know what to do and they never follow up. Had a faulty hot torch which was supposed to be a warranty job, nobody has followed up with me about it. Have rang several times to try and get a replacement, each time was told something different, eventually I gave up, bought a new one and requested a refund and they still haven't sorted it out. Am back on the phone yet again for the 5th time in 2 months trying to get a solution. Pray nothing goes wrong.

Had a disappointing experience having walked into the shop. Being greated by mic. It sounded like he was calling out to a dog. With out saying a word he was speaking to me like I was a piece of chewing gum underneath his feet. I’ve come here for all my tools and have spent 1000’s here. All other staff have been so helpful. Unfortunately after that interaction I’ll be spending my money elsewhere

I didn’t have a great experience.

New to the area so figured I’ll go local as I live 5mins from this place. Waste of my time. Went in, tried to explain what I needed but the man was very unpleasant to deal with. It was a 30 second encounter, but I just left the store without buying anything and swore not to return. This is the last person who should be working in retail.

I am writing to commend Mr. Quan Tran at Sydney Tools Store for his exceptional customer service, help, and dedication. Having spent $110 on the new tool, I was still unable to undo a bolt on my car. This is where Mr. Quan steps in, offering a hand and making sure, I leave as a happy customer. If you want service like the Middle Eastern Gang from Housos TV show you've found your dream store. Otherwise, go to Dulwich Hill - they'll deal with issues like rational humans and try to help, and they're only 5 minutes away. Being called names and yelled at by staff as you leave the store because they damaged the thing you'd come to pick up is just pathetic. Yeah, no-one likes being asked to give a refund. The way i was treated reminded me why i'd previous stopped dealing with Sydney Tools and taken over $15k a year of purchases to other chains.

The boys at Sydney tools were legends today, I came in to pick up some tools and had some timber in the car and they came out to the car to help wrap everything up so it didn’t get wet.

I went to Alexandria store earlier today, make wrong decisions to purchase makita products, As I need $15 more to earn $100 bonus points, I asked sydney tool team to refund all and purchase again, and he told me I can’t do that, then I decided to refund all, and he said to me “ you want to refund all just because of that! ” He raised his voice make me feel he is NOT friendly at all. Won’t come to store ever again. Really disappointed.

Great place to find any tool or equipment needed for any trade. Good service at times, sometimes. Most times its mediocre. They're shocking at following up and delivering results as they state to you either over the phone or in person. Waited weeks for an order which they had no issues taking my money for - that no one could give me a positive response to. Finally cancelled the $1000 order and took my business elsewhere. Had to chase them for the refund couple of times. Strange enough called me back a month later, to advise they don't know when the items would be available. Ended up getting the entire items from South Australia hassle free professionally within the week.

Blake at the Alexandria store saved my day and restored my opinion of Sydney tools. I had ordered some tools online and the makita multitool package was missing one item. I spent nearly three weeks calling Sydney tools customer support trying to get the missing item sent to me. I emailed them photos and did everything they asked. It became apparent that their staff are poorly trained, don’t have an effective call centre system, basically don’t care about the difficult calls and say anything to hang up the phone. I even had one staff trying to pretend she hadn’t spoken to me before, when she had sent me an email two days prior (which was also a useless event). All I wanted was the key missing item for my Makita multitool package. More than a month after making the original order, I took the package into the Alexandria store because I was told I couldn’t be sent the missing part and I would be given a refund. So I spoke to Blake, who had been told to just give me a refund, but I explained I just wanted the missing item. He straight away told me there was one in the store and just gave it to me after updating the system. I am so grateful to Blake and I assume the rest of the store staff are just as helpful. My advice, don’t order anything online from Sydney Tools and don’t bother calling the head office. Only call and order from the stores directly!
