What a great little club. Not only do you learn how to fly a fun aircraft, you learn about aerial navigation, mechanics, electronics, avionics, weather, human factors and radio operation, among other things.
The club also organises fun days, whole weekends away and club activities that are often beneficial to yourself as well as the club.
If you have any enthusiasm for aviation and enjoy spending time out in the fresh-air countryside, I can highly recommend that you check out the SRFC for yourself.
