Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre reviews
75Should have organised better during a busy period. Staying in the queue for 1 hour and the staff came out to announced that there would be another 45 mins wait due to overcrowded situation.
Generally ultra friendly staff and lots of amenities. There's a kiddie section with all sorts of things designed just for toddlers and above. The various fountains, bucket dumps, slides etc are enough to burn hours.
The swimming areas always seem huge and never feel over crowded. Locker rooms and bathrooms are a different story.these could be way cleaner and better maintained. Often even if you want to rent a Locker you can't, there aren't enough.
My only other gripe is that in the grand scheme of heated pools, this isn't as warm as it could be. But we also have a very specific problem because of our tiny kiddo.
The venue is awesome but during the weekend there are swimming lessons until 1pm and there was a short queue for the public change room. I would suggest to go after 1pm during weekends. Other than that, good customer service and swimming pool. Can watch swimming competitions for free if you are lucky.
Awesome place for beginners, can learn swimming quickly, optional training can help better…
The traffic guy said only member can enter P2 carpark, no matter how long you been been in the queue waiting.
Went there with my toddlers. Great little place. Has a splash zone, river rapid section, lap pools, slides etc plenty of things to do for a pools. Also cost us around 16 all up for 2 adults 2 kids so pretty decent price
We paid for steam room and sauna access, however the sauna was closed. No one informed us of this when we paid at the front desk.
The centre was crowded making it difficult to use the facilities. The steam room had cockraoches in it and the bathroom was filthy, there was no access to hot water for showers in the ladies bathroom.
Make sure you have your wrist bands on, I took mine off because it was too tight, staff abruptly demand proof that you have paid to be in the spa. Policing the area doesn't make it particularly comfortable for visitors either.
This joint doesn't seem to care too much for WHS standards or customer satisfaction. Ryde may be further away but I won't be visiting again.
Absolutely disgusting, very dirty change rooms, steam room does not work. Why you charge full price for facilities that don't work. Very disappointing.
They started off well where my son was taught swimming and had Marina the special needs instructor scream at my son in full volume in the pool because he was behaving poorly instead of handling him over to me. She decided she didn't want to teach him any more, she said she wanted to learn a musical instrument which was mythical and wasn't going to be able to do teach. The following week she was back in class teaching others. The management at the time around 2015-2016 was unprofessional and highly disorganised.
Best swimming place in Sydney. Great for the family especially the kids. Had lots of fun. Arrive is quick and friendly.
Definitely Recommend!
Ok for small kids but due to the many events and lessons that take place there is often only very limited pool space available for the general public.
The aquatic center has a 50 meter pool, 25m pool, diving area, play area. The 50m pool’s diving blocks are opened when there is a computing going on (same as the Diving area) The play pool is also fantastic for your kids to spend time in, highly recommended for water lovers.
This place was decent as I had to come here for swimming lessons. However, it is always constantly crowded during the weekends, so it takes forever to line up. Also, the bathrooms are disgusting and there are always kids running around, which almost made me slipped. I like the cafe cuz I also get hot chips there, which is really nice. Another good thing is that the kids pool is really fun and I like the slides there. Overall, this place is great for leisure swimming and swimming lessons.
Very nice place to have fun. Now there are only 2 sessions: opening to 14: 00 and 15: 00 to closing time. During the break you must leave the facility.
We love visiting the kids indoor water park at Homebush Aquatic Centre, So much to do.
Lots of water activities to keep busy with several slides, A big toddler pool and also a whirlpool. We love the whirlpool and sitting outside to have lunch. There’s a lovely park like grounds outside with gardens and lots of area to chase the Ibis birds for toddlers
This is my favourite swimming place! The service is great, there’s always space and it has a great atmosphere. They have activities for all ages that are all fun and can last a whole day. The service is quick and they cater for any occasion. Highly recommended for families friends, or individuals.
Fantastic swimming facility for all ages. It would be nice to have more change rooms and toilets.
I've been going here for a decade but it's awful now. Kid's pool was freezing and adult's pool was so hot that people were sweating while IN the water. Getting really outdated and old inside the pools.
For the size of the place they need a lot more changing rooms. Too much time was wasted queuing for changes rooms, very frustrating when you have kids. Pools its self were nice
Way too crowded to support their Covid booking system. Between lessons, carnival and public use it was way over crowded to the max. Hope it gets better from here.
