I am happy to whole-heartedly recommend SNC. In my case, I needed two older computers' BIOS fixed and each computer assessed for potential upgrades. The response of SNC was prompt. One computer was fixed, but not suitable for upgrades. It can however still be used in 'offline' applications. The other computer was fixed, and its OS and RAM both upgraded for internet use and many other applications.

Christian is the utmost professional. Knows his stuff, is very helpful and has great customer service. Great (non-condescending) explanation of the issue at hand. And very cost-effective. Christian is highly trustworthy.

Superb service from Christian at Sydney North Computers!

I recently had a 5 year old, custom-built (by me!) desktop system that would no longer post, i.e. It wouldn’t boot up to the BIOS even.

I looked around for a computer shop to take a look at it, and was quite surprised to find one right here in Manly because, well, it’s Manly! The only stuff you can normally buy here is swimming cossies, surf boards and tourist tat.

SNC responded to my email within 5 minutes - good start! I took the system in and Christian confirmed that the motherboard was dead. He then politely, but firmly, told me all the things that I’d done wrong when I’d assembled the system, e.g:
* This power cable should be 8 pin not 4 pin
* This one should be 24 pin, not 20 pin
* Your two RAM chips should have been in these two slots, not those too

And so on. Within a few minutes, I knew that I’d found the guy to build my new replacement system!

Fast forward and I now have that new desktop system, assembled by Christian, which is working like a dream.

Christian really knows what he's talking about, and has spare computer parts coming out of his ears! A real find.

Never got anything there, but a friendly helpful owner that will give out great advice nonetheless.
