Sydney Metropolitan Wildlife Service Office reviews
11A kingfisher kookaburra passed out on our front door. After googling like crazy I am glad i found this number. She was advising me over the phone to send pics. By the time I sent them the kookaburra was able to fly. She still called me back to explain the species and confirm what I had done was correct. Great to know there is this service run by volunteers.
Such a great service provided by passionate and knowledgeable experts in their field. We received great advice on how to assist an orphaned baby animal. They then picked up the animal to be cared for in a very timely fashion. Keep up the great work!
Amazing team! I called this morning and told the lovely lady at reception there was an injured Magpie caught in wire. The bird was rescued and a lovely council ranger even gave me a call to let me know Thank you!
Very disappointed in the response to injured wildlife.as for the phone operator I was highly disgusted in their attitude to an animal in need and how they were handling the matter. 2 weeks later and I'm still waiting for the matter to be resolved.
Picked up tawny frogmouth with broken wings (possibly)
Always nice and caring people.
I had a red belly black snake in the house.i caught it and someone came and took it away for free.a great service with good communication.
I came across a street pigeon with broken legs two days ago, called a few vets they all said to bring it in, they can put the pigeon to sleep. By chance I called this wildlife rescue, the person answer the phone says they don't normally help street pigeon however she was kind enough to send a message to the Pigeon and Dove lover group on Facebook for me, and someone from that group contacted me on the same day and picked up the pigeon today and taking to a vet in Canley Heights who will provide some treatment. I did put the splints on her legs, but with very little amount of knowledge, only learnt from YouTube videos, I was very worried I might have done it wrong. I am very grateful that both the Sydney wild life rescue and pigeon lover group have kindly helped out, hope the little one has a chance to heal. Thank you so much for your help
Called about an animal rescue and the team here were quick to answer and action our call. Amazing!
We found an injured lorakeet bird in our balcony yesterday and wasn't sure what to do. We browsed and found Sydney wildlife rescue website and called their number. They answered immediately and arranged for a volunteer to rescue the bird from our home. We were really impressed with their service. Very happy I found this website. Hope the bird is doing well now!
We found a injuries baby possum and have no idea what to do. So lucky found this place to help out. Thank you so much.
Called them just a few minutes ago as I saw a nestling bird on the floor hatching. I didn't know what to do. They answered very fast and gave me the steps to follow so that its mom can hopefully find it. Fingers crossed now:)
