Sydney Markets reviews
53 This is a big market.
We can find many cheaper price:
Tomatoes: 3$, eggplant 3$, mushroom 4$/ 500gram.
So many clothes shop open. But maybe it is fake F1 F2 F3.
Also, some cassual clothes to wear at home cheap that about 10$, 20$.
Big parking areas. Should bring cash to go shopping here.
Prices are very reasonable and good. There are lots of parking spots and you can find every fresh food that you want by at least half of the normal price of other markets. You should plan to spend at least 2 hours over there and buy a full trolley of fresh foods. Enjoy Flemington fresh food market
Very disappointed. Tourists like to stroll looking at things to buy that make the memories of their visit. We were there on a Friday and all it has was vegetables. Seems the "interesting" stalls don't open until Sunday - SERIOUSLY. Other markets I have been to, eg Melbourne, Adelaide etc, have trinket stalls from Friday to Sunday to cater for those wandering visitors.
I absolutely love this place. My grocery budget reduced since I have started shopping from here. My favorite day is Sunday. Love the fresh produce selling on Sunday.
I love Sydney markets! It's at a walking distance from the lofts building and Haris farm. It has cheap fruits and vegetables to buy for home or commercial use. It's the best place to buy leafy greens and Indian vegetable like Karela (bitter gourd), small brinjal/ egg plant, fenugreek/ methi, coriander bulk buy, lemons and limes, drum sticks and kairi/ raw mangoes. Carrying cash is recommended as most of the vendors only take cash. There are ATM machines also to withdraw cash at a minimum charge of 3 dollars per transaction.
Best fact learnt: Sydney market turns to Paddy's market on Sundays. Good to buy stationery/ jackets/ clothes/ accessories/ blankets/ bedsheets.
Always good to wander around the markets on a Sunday. Sad to see them look so empty after the COVID lockdowns.
A wonderful shopping experience. Be it to purchase fruits, vegetables, flowers, live chickens, hardware, garden stuff and lots more. This place can be easily reached by train as well.
There is plenty of parking onsite, head for the terrace parking to avoid delays. You can get carts for hire at 3-4 dollars plus a deposit but you’ll have to return them to the same counter to get the refund of the deposit which can be a pain given the extra walk to and back to the parking lot.
The variety of vegetables and fruits is great. Take a look around before making your purchase as you find few variations in price and quality of products.
There is a sea food section as well towards the back of the market.
There is a cafe in the market to refresh yourself with a coffee or light snacks.
The market is open to public only on Saturdays. Head there early (market opens at 5 AM!) to get the best produce.
Sydney Markets (Flemington) has its own postcode, 2129, separate from the 2140 postcode used for the remainder of Homebush West. The Sydney Markets are a group of wholesale and retail markets gathered In one place from different cultures, here you can find almost all types of vegetables, fruits, fishes, flowers and a lot more in a very cheap price for a big amount. With hundreds of car spaces around its easy to find a parking, and many Entrances and Exits.you will shop easy as there are public toilets, ATM'S, cafes and food trailers around you won't be hungry. Police patrolling the place so you will shop safely.
Every time I go there.l will write down what kind of fruit.vegetables and seafood then all thing put it full of my car boot.
After COVID it seems a lot of people have abandoned their stands. I personally used to come here for the low priced clothing and auto accessories.
Flemington Markets still has parking, still has a fair share of things you can't just find everywhere. While during the weekend it is a nightmare, the Sunday markets are still awesome.
WOuld not recommend this place if you don't like large crowds. Not so good to bring kids.
It's a Sunday market offering good vegetables, fruits & sea foods. Rates are very competitive & one would get very good bargains during closing stages
Things need to be more arranged in a better way and more quality control as many of things sold there are not in a good condition
Use to be one of my fave places to shop on Sundays but now due to covid half the stores are open
Fresh veggies and food Market on Saturdays from early morning until 2pm. Very reasonable and affordable. Must visit even if not buying anything
Cheap and fresh fruit and veg. Also got meat poultry eggs and sea food. Been there few times. If i have weekend off I dont miss going there first thing in the morning.
A pain to find a parking spot but fresh produce, best to go early when the fresh stuff is still available.
A busy market provides every grocery for your household. You will save a lot of money if you bulk buy fruit and vege and guarantee the freshness (except some spoil one mixed at the bottom of the box).
Gotta love this place. The owners are great and the products also. The flemmington hotel is a slip away and a great local brewery on tap. The boys that run the pub and markets are very personable and loveable. Get down there in ya favorite mask and keep the ball rolling. Cheers
Oh.just good to shop here.veggies and mango are cheap, but when the cherries per box with one guy selling it is full of mould and mildew.yeah its 10 dollars, but u will throw half of it,
Worth going to if you want fresh fruit and veg plus variety stall markets.
The fresh seafood is very popular. Go early if you want to see everything. After about 2pm packing up is going on and there are good bargains.
