Sydney Harbour National Park reviews
51Beautiful place to visit, nice weather, manly view, Watson bay view. Beautiful grounds to play, coastal walking.so nice
Beautiful vista of Sydney Harbour entrance. Great cafe with lots of parking, but it fills quickly so best to be early. 200 metre gentle walk to viewing platform allowing 300 degree views of coast and harbour.
Grassed areas to allow for groups to relax. Some benches and blocks to contemplate life.
How could you not love Sydney Harbour.
Swimming,
Sup boarding,
Sailing,
Surfing,
Kayaking,
Sight seeing.
The list goes on.
Even catching a ferry somewhere is fun.
After 20 + years I never get tired of the scenery.
I regularly catch a train then the Manly ferry home, (before covide) from Sydney airport.
It's still a highlight of all my trips away.
Wonderful walk from Watson's Bay bus terminal. Walking past Camp Cove Lady Jane and onto lighthouse. Walk could take in Vauclues light house. Sydney's south Head and East Coast.
The Sydney Harbour National Park is a gem just a couple of hour drive or train ride from the city of Sydney. It was a great experience to hike and see amazing scenic points in between, beautiful coastal walk and beautiful beaches. The hike to the Figure 8 Pool requires moderate fitness level and a must do while in Sydney. Don’t forget to check the tides before you go.
Some people also camp there to explore the whole National Park which should be a great experience if you’re a camper. If not, you can do day trips to explore the different parts of the park. Highly recommend it.
Fabulous destination!
Had a great weekend getaway right in Sydney! Caught a bus to Circular Quay, straight onto a Manly ferry, then immediately connected to a 161 bus at the wharf, for a 10 minute ride up to the resort at North Heads.
Was met by a shuttle bus at reception, for a 1 minute lift down go our room. We felt like we were miles out of Sydney, somewhere remote. Loved it!
Spectacular views, well maintained buildings and absolute respect for their heritage in modernising them for comfort. Great walking trails and museum treasures to discover all over the National Park/resort.
Food at all the venues were was good and he hidden harbour beach was relaxing. Service was faultless, all the staff were wonderful. I totally recommend going there, whether it's for a day trip or overnight.
We had a small backpack each, so walked from reception down through the bush, on the board walk go Shelley Beach to go home. My tip is to catch the bus up and walk down.
Excellent weekend 'away'.
Great walks enjoying fresh sea air with vistas of Pacific Ocean with varying shades of blue. Enjoy native Birdlife and spot a Whale breaching during season.
A place to chill out and cleanse the mind.
A feeling of spirituality atop Manly's highest point. Views of Sydney Harbour, Manly Ferries and pleasure craft cruising or sailing. Experience the native plants and many wildflowers and look for an Echidna. A must for nature lovers.
Picturesque scenery on this section of track with some birdlife due to number of banksias. There is toilets but no other facilities within the park which borders a navy base. Reasonably easy and accessible from Sydney.
Very nice park. There are a lot of walks, hikes, playing fields and lookouts to enjoy throughout the National Park. I really like going to the different lookouts that give you different views of the harbour and the city. Well worth exploring.
Lovely getaway location, also good for work conferences. You can use the shuttle service to get between venues or it's an easy stroll to most places. Accommodation was very warm and comfortable, very modern too. Breakfast was decent and lots of choice. The conference rooms can get cold in winter so bring warm clothing.
It's good to be able to connect with nature and the harbour. Although Sydney is populated by millions this place makes it seem like you're in the country.
The North Shore of Sydney Harbour within the National Park makes a fantastic place for a day walk, swimming & snorkelling, or just a very pleasant and lazy afternoon picknick with a fantastic view oder the harbour, the city and/or the heads and the ocean.
Excellent place for a swim in the harbour. Couldn’t have been a better stop in my walk of the south half of the Bondi to Manly walk
We stayed at Qstation. It was very relaxing. There are different types of bush walking catering for all types of age groups. It is very popular for conferences and marriage functions.
Great views, clean toilets, lots of places to sit but no picnic tables. Lots of birdlife. Not much parking. Recommend for a scenic view of Harbour Bridge, Opera House, cbd and Eastern suburbs.
A beautiful walk through lush heath and bushland along some high sheer cliff with amazing views of Sydney and the northern beaches.
I've just spent a few days at Q Station. Wonderful breakfast at the Boilerhouse restaurant. A lovely private Beach and amazing views. Also lovely being in a National Park enjoying nature.
The walk from mosman to manly is amazing. Great thing to do as a local or tourist. Mosman to spit Bridge or spit to manly is also great. Get the ferry to and from the city to make it a magical day!
Normally a fantastic view from North Head, but lookouts are closed due to last year's bushfire. Look foward to visiting again once its open, as it has the best Sydney harbour and ocean views.
Beautiful.
Interesting story.
Concerning that we are on a site of men's business for the traditional custodians the Garigal people
