Was looking to get some repairs done to my roof and was told that the job is too small. They called me on the 28th Jan at 2.20pm and said "We only do big jobs"
Very dissapointed in this attitude as a customer is a customer, no matter how big the job is.

I engaged SGRR to install an awning to my house.

I was very please with all aspects of the job, from meeting Elmer the estimator, to Jim the supervisor, down to Cameron and the crew who installed the awning.

There was no fuss or delay and the workmanship was immaculate.

The site was left spotless.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing this type of service.

We had been thinking about putting a Colorbond roof on our home for some time and SGR was recommended to us by some good friends who are very particular about their own property.
From the start everything went smoothly. My wife was very nervous about our relatively new grass being damaged by trucks and skip bins going on it however their supervisor Jim came up with a solution which worked well and when the work was finished you would not know that they had been there apart from the brand new roof.
The installers lead by Cameron were very professional and thorough in how they did the job and thinking about the little things that have made our job look so good. They were courteous and polite and a pleasure to have working on our property.
We would definitely recommend SGR to install a new Colorbond roof for your home and particularly Cameron and his team.

I had a new colourbond roof and gutters installed by this company. I can't believe the difference it has made to my home. The service and quality of workmanship was amazing. I have recommended SGRR to all my family and friends.

Very glad I chose Sydney Gutter and Roof for my roof replacement. A great experience throughout and great communication. There were extra challenges with the job due to the Sydney lockdown and the fact that I live away from Sydney and couldn't get there at any stage. These were managed smoothly. Elmer was a pleasure to deal with during the quoting stage and then Jim kept me informed throughout the installation.

Assured during the quote that all work would be done by tradespeople to a high standard (Gutter, Downpipe Replacement and Fascia Cover Installation).
Ten weeks later the job was completed by cowboys.
Luckily it rained prior to making my final payment revealing leaks everwhere.
The gutter mitres are all cut short with gutter brackets spaced too far apart and positioned to prevent the roof tiles sitting flat.
A superviser came out and agreed that the gutters need to be removed and replaced.
The Corona Virus lockdown has put a halt to all works.

Sydney Gutter & Roof replaced my old roof over 10 years ago, so I contacted them to repair some problems that have developed since, with the guttering coming adrift from the fascia and gutter guard.

My first contact was in September 2020 when 'Albert' promised a follow up contact for inspection. No follow up was made.

Now I have made a second attempt to have the problem fixed, provided photos of the issues, but they have just ignored my repeated messaging since then. Just ignored all messages.

Finally I asked on their website if 'Albert' still worked there as he was so unresponsive. 'Albert' phoned back within a couple of hours, (what a coincidence!), and advised that the job was 'too small' for them to worry about. Even though the guttering was originally their work, and even though I acknowledged the repairs were out of warranty and I would need to pay.

This was a decision they could have given me 9 months ago. Or they could have let me know 3 weeks ago. Plain rude!

Be very careful if considering this organisation for your roofing needs. Requests for any small followup work may well go ignored.

POSTSCRIPT:

Following my comments I have now been contacted by Roman who has apologised and organised for another repairer to fix my guttering - someone he said his company uses for smaller jobs. Fingers crossed. But the followup, finally, is most welcome. Thanks Roman!

The lesson, if they say your job is too small, ask if they have contacts that handle the smaller jobs for them.

The ridge tiling restoration was completed without any fuss in a timely manner. I am happy with the work carried out by the tiling professional.

We contracted this company to repair our roof leaks last year. We paid them unbelievably good money to do the work and the roof is still leaking. I have contacted them to come back and fix the roof and they blatantly won’t. They blame everyone else for the leaks. I would never ever recommend them to anyone and as a favour to who’s reading this review DO NOT USE THEM EVER. We were ripped off.

I had a new roof installed by this company in 2015. The quote was very professional. Then the work started. I had one main roof adjoined by a flat roof added on an existing corrugated roof that was leaking against the wall of the original house.
I was really happy with the progress but realised that my two roof ventilators had been thrown in the bin and not replaced. Upon inquiring about them, I was given an explanation that they are not necessary with the new roof!?
When the roof was finished we had some rain and the water poured down. The team member came to investigate and did some repair and I was told it would never leak again but soon after with more rain we had the same leakage. The boss Glen B came. A very nice chap and even a better talker! Anyway under the rain he investigated and found some broken tiles under the leaf guard in a valley. He explained to me some contractors don't always know little more than the main stream of their 'job'! We also had a discussion about a disagreement between the quote that stipulated leaf guards at the end of the flat roof over the gutter but Glen did not believe it was right because of the risk of back flow recreating the pre - installation leak. (I ended up putting it myself with no adverse consequence.)
I also have to add that when the flat roof was added onto the old one in a room about 4x8 metres all the screws ends were protruding from the 'ceiling' and I was told that it had to be done this way! However, with some pressure, it was corrected by turning them the other way around. But I had to do most of the ones on the outside as the contractor refused to continue, Too hard it says and it's on the outside!
Then more rain, more leaks! And Glen explained to me that my gutters weren't coping with the rain, So I added two downpipes - with no joy when the next big rain came.
I felt I was flogging a dead horse so I went to buy some silicone and applied it where the flat roof joined the main roof's side where I was experiencing the leak. And for several years it's been good.
However, March 2021,
'that is now', with heavy downpours of water that finds its way inside the house, where the valley of the main roof meets the flat roof, I'm not happy at all.

25th of April 2021. Wanting to be fair, I decided not to post it but sent a copy of the above to the company owner (I believe, and whom I have part mentioned his name above) But to this day I did not hear anything about it. There could be different explanations for not getting a reply to my email. But I'm left to draw my own conclusion. I believe those who state that they got their job well done. As for me I keep my fingers crossed that my effort to stop that leak will prevent it to recur on the next big rain.

I used this company to re roof my extension roof in colourbond and I had a 2 leaks my cement tile roof which they also fixed.

Very pool comunication between sales and contractors, told the sales I need to rewiring for downlights when reroofing, but the boss told me he had no idea about it.
Been told the contractors will be at my house around 830am, booked three Electricians try to finish the rewiring asap. After so many times phone call the roofer contractors show up at 1230. Left me and three Electricians waiting on the site with no choice to take down the Old roof for the roofer. Which cost me $600 extra for the Electricians.
The contractors couldnt finish the job in one day, left the sheets on the roof with no screws. Before the installation I have been told the job HAS to be finished in 1 day cos cant leave roof insulation open over the night.
After installation found few lossing screws on the roof with no silicon, boss came to fix it told me the reason are "the contractors are unable to see the timber cos the foil insulation" and "the contractors dont have longer screws". What a joke for "professional" roofer!
After all this no apology from the roofer at All,
The boss just keeping tell me how "great" the job they done and how hard he try the fix the problem for me, keep trying the blame the contractors for everything dont want take any responsibility.
Very very disappointing! Wont reacon this company at all

Absolutely no after sales service. Our hail damaged pergola roof was replaced by this company and ever since being completed we have had to put up with incredible unsettling noise from the roof when there is any wind. I was initially told that there was nothing that could be done (even without any inspection). After insisting that the job at least be inspected, I was told that someone would come out. Almost a month has gone by. No interest, communication or inspection has been done. I hate what I have been left with and feel totally ripped off. So, so unhappy with this job

Due to a rather large tree branch falling on our metal roof on Sunday we needed a whole section of our roof replaced as soon as possible. I rang SGRR at 8.30 am on Monday and they had an estimator at my house by lunchtime. It is now 9.30 am on Thursday and the SGRR roofing team have just left after doing a stellar repair / replace job on our roof. I cannot begin to say how highly I rate both their service and the workmanship.

The guys at Sydney gutter and roof restoration did an amazing job I would recommend them to anyone. They came on time, they cleaned up after themselves and delivered everything they said and even more, so good job guys thanks you.
