Sydney Discus World Aquariums Retail Shop reviews
49Still waiting for my order from back in February. Sent multiple emails which not a single one has been replied to then they have blocked me on their Facebook page as well. Biggest joke of a company there is
Got a tank from them at a good price. Store owner was very helpful. Sadly they have moved to an online exclusive format (as far as I know)
These people took my money and order LAST DECEMBER, and I received nothing. I can't even get through to them on the phone and they won't respond to my emails. Don't order anything from them.
Thieves!
These scam artists will keep you waiting for your order until its too late to receive a refund. I went to Fair Trading and was told that the ABN this business is operating under is declared bankrupt and cannot repay the money.
At the very same time they operate with the same store, the same website but use a different ABN to rip people off.
The definition of unethical.
I would love to see these guys chased down on A Current Affair.
I ordered an aquarium for $400 three months ago and nothing arrived. I tried to contact them many times through multiple ways, but no answer. This is absolutely not right. Run away from this shop! I put one start because there is no way to put zero!
Spent $120 5months later and nothing no emails no phonecalls ive tried to get in touch but nothing i just want a refund
Never received my fish and have not received a call back or any further information in regards to my order. They just took my money! Rort. Wish I could leave no stars
There is atleast one person who gets scammed and posts on popular aquarium forums from this site every month - do not purchase anything from unless you want to lose your money!
Pathetic response, I placed an order online and I have tried ringing them and emailing several times But there has been no response.
Only half of the order delivered and now well outside of their own terms and conditions the rest of the order is nowhere to be seen. Won't answer calls or emails and blocked any contact on FB when I tried to get in touch. Avoid these scammers!
Just don't. Online or in store. Take your money somewhere else. Don't believe me, keep reading bad reviews. This company is full of them. I hope one day you lose your business. Shouldn't even be called a business. It's a scam and the owner is a scum. That's what it is.
Do not buy from online store, it is a scam.
The owner will distance the physical business from the online business by pointing out different ABNs. They are the same business, owned by the same individual who is obviously aware a scam business is easier online.
I waited many months for a refund on products that were never dispatched and received no response to anything. I contacted Fair Trading, who this business also ignored which has apparently lead to a referral.
For all the other people who've been ripped off by these guys, contact Fair Trading and you should get your money back.
Only realised after purchase that the pricing in store was more than on the online store of the same name, and the online store and retail store are different, and other aquariums were selling the same product for cheaper so shop around.
Bought the starter home kits with 2 fish. The staff gave us cutes 2 more fish. Rest is just history
Nice range and some rare fish, however you may need to sell a limb or two to purchase anything. I suggest some price comparisons at other stores, as I do.
The owners reply about me not being able to afford this hobby due to my comments on expensive pricing is nonsensical.
Yes it can be an expensive hobby, I've spent thousands of dollars and will spend thousands more, but not at your store.
Strong mens thriving passion towards the business and sea life. Seems like this place could have potentially been more amazing with decors ambitions and care. Keep it up boys
Went to the store today to purchase a tank listed at $150 on their online store. When I arrived the young chap at the store advised it was actually just under $200. I questioned it given it was clearly listed at $150. He said the one owner owns the online store and physical store, but they’re different businesses.despite same branding, phone number, name, address details.the lot.
Having made a very long trip to be there I had tried to call in advance but all 14 of my calls went unanswered (I checked the number when I arrived; it was the correct one, and was called after 10am when they open).
So, they used the website to bait me into the store to buy the same product for substantially more.
Incidentally, I walked out of the store, called Hurstville Aquarium. They advised they had two in stock and it was available for $105 (exact brand, size, SKU). Around $90 less (and it wasn’t a sale price). Suffice to say I drove from Homebush to Hurstville to make the purchase.
Incredible range of tropical fish set up in beautiful tanks.staff member nick helped me navigate the store and provided detailed and clear advice and recommendations.definitely will be coming back! Thank you nick:)
Excellent service today by Cameron. A shining example of how an aquarium store should be. AAA+ customer service and large range of both freshwater and saltwater stock, supplies and plants. I was really impressed with their huge range of ADA and CO2 gear. Really a aquascaper's paradise! Picked up some LED lighting at really great prices.
Came in again and love all their selection of aquatic plants and tanks.
Well stocked and helpful staff. Prices just slightly above average as I visit quite a few aquariums throughout metro Sydney.
