Sutherland Leisure Centre

Every evening the floor is sprayed with the hose while people are still swimming. This water goes into the pool and gives a weird taste of cardboard. Taking into consideration that people walk all day long with their shoes around the pool it doesn’t seem hygienic. If you assume it is safe to do that, why in some countries it is an obligation to shower first and walk thru a long basin to clean the feet before swimming, and no shoes are allowed?

Been taking my children there for 20 years. One of the first and certainly the best I've been to in Sydney.

Great leisure centre and great to see local council support Water Polo by providing a separate pool for it.

I've been bringing my kids here for swimming lessons for almost 15 years now and it's clear that this centre has changed its approach from providing high quality swimming lessons to making more money.

From kids being stuck on the same level for 12 months+ and not being moved up, classes being crammed with too many kids that your child is only swimming for about 5 minutes of their 30 minute lesson, to being unable to get siblings on the same day/times even after calling every day for several weeks and being forced onto direct debit payments rather than term by term.

Lack of suitable ventilation indoors and inconsiderate patrons not fitting appropriate swim nappies makes visiting Sutherland Leisure Centre downright unpleasant more often than not.

Always a good experience except yesterday. The kiosk area was completely dirty, tables and the floor was covered in smashed chips and other items. I asked the male staff member at the kiosk about it and he told me, 'it gets cleaned every night '.
Not good enough I told him, take 5 minutes and give the floor a good sweep and wipe off the dirty table tops, he didn't.

Nice facility. Would be really nice if any of the locks worked! Pretty expensive $9 for a swim and an additional $9 for a spa and sauna if you are casual. Membership drops the price.

Great facilities with fun indoor pools for the kids and a great 50m and 25m pool outdoors, along with a really amazing kids splash park for the summer! Good coffee at the coffee kiosk and friendly staff

This is a wonderful indoor and outdoor swimming area, clean, large and fun area for children indoors. The pools are clean and well kept with a lifeguard always on duty. Bit expensive for a pensioner, i pay $2 at shellharbour pools, Sutherland charges $7.

Great indoor pools for kids, am outdoor Olympic pool for laps (try to avoid squad times), and a water polo pool.
Can generally get a nice lap swim in.

Had a good time here, there is a huge circulation, it is normal that it is wet and kids sometimes may litter, but I'd say this is just normal.

There is an indoor pool, outdoor pools and a water park. Kids enjoyed it.

Cafe is slow and there is a huge line, but that wont change my grading.

Great facilities and friendly staff, if anything the change rooms probably need a little bit of an upgrade. The kids love the pools and activities

So much goodness in one place. Little kids swim class is the best! Even in winter the indoor pool is warm! Love to take my daughter for a dip and in summer time the outside water play are is amazing!

Really wish they would sort out the algae in the outdoor pool it's been green for about a year now? !

The people that go there are mean and rude! My mum just told me that people their bullied her out of a class because of her weight! They should encourage people to go there. How disgusting

Great place attend 2 Aqua classes a week. Instructors group and staff are fabulous. Very enjoyable

I do squad lessons here with Mel in the Junior area squad. I find it is extremely well organised and a great environment. So if your looking for a new squad you should definitely look at Sutherland.

I am never going here again. Both times I have been here the kiddy pool had poop lying at the bottom for at least half an hour before people were told to get out. The bathrooms are terribly cleaned. The food at the cafe is also very overpriced and not worth the money.

So great to have such an awesome facility nearby.

Plenty of space for a swim and great place for kids of all ages.

Friendly personnel, hot water in the shower. Haven't tried cafe yet.

Good pool, catering for all ages. With different sections for exercise, eg: slow walking lanes.
