Had an amazing day with surf camp. In my 40s and second time trying surfing and had one of the best days on the water with a mixed group. Our surf instructor was one of the nicest humans I have ever met. So encouraging and enthusiastic about what he does. Mad the day very memorable. Can't recommend surf camp enough.

Had my first surfing lesson on the weekend with Shayno and it was the best experience! He’s such a positive, encouraging and fun teacher and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for lessons now! We also saw dolphins which was such a cool bonus!

These guys get the kids frothing but also fill them with positive vibes so they come home bursting with joy. We just keep coming back.

Shayno is a fantastic surf instructor who listened to our needs and got us out surfing in no time. We booked for lessons just the two of us, we both came away smiling and 100% able to surf. Cannot recommend this surf school enough, nothing but good vibes, super friendly and chilled. If you’re looking to get out there definitely go with these guys.

Shayne and Osh hosted our beginners’ surf lesson, and it was awesome!

First surf experience with surf camp down under. Shayne and Courtney are wonderful and excellent coaches. I won’t forget their super shiny smile which light up my day. Feel safe in the sea with them even it’s my first surf lesson. Definitely will go back to them when I visit Yamba again.

I can't imagine a better experience for a young surfer to be part of. Shayne, Courtney and the team do an incredible job of providing a super fun and safe environment while making sure the kids learn how to surf. My son loves being part of the Wednesday morning Groms group and the school holiday programs. He is so enthusiastic about learning to surf and all of the credit goes to Surf Camp Down Under.

We (two adults) did two lesson’s this week and had a blast! Definitely visit Shane and Courtney to learn a lot and have fun!

Just do it! This surf lesson was so much fun, Shayno did an amazing job at teaching & encouraging everyone in the group. 10/10 Would recommend. The early lesson was a great way to start the day.

Amazing lesson by Shayno who fitted me and my girlfriend in for a private lesson at short notice. Would 100% recommend - Shayno’s surf knowledge, infectious enthusiasm and friendly nature led to us to having the best lesson we’ve ever had. We’ve surfed a few times but not regularly enough to make massive progress, but Shayno got us catching great waves and having loads of fun out there.

We also saw dolphins whilst surfing which was a huge bonus! Get yourself booked in, you won’t regret it.

We had such a great day with Sharon and Max! They took my son out for a great first day surfing and he’s hooked! These guys were over the top. I would highly recommend this school!

One word describes our surfing lesson with Shayne - epic!
Despite the rain, Shayne found a beautiful protected beach for us to surf at, with perfect waves for beginners. Shayne is a great teacher, he gives simple suggestions that help you quickly improve your technique. After just a couple of waves we were all standing up! And plenty of time for a good laugh as well.
