I am absolutely APPALLED.

I may as well copy another review here about the rescheduling, cancelling, horrible reception, changes from long in person appointments to 15 min Telehealth for the same price.

But what I’m mostly appalled by is the reception. Talking over me, rushing me, not listening to me, rude, yelling at me — then what tops it off is that SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Mid sentence. I called back and she lied and said it ‘dropped out’ which I called out as a lie and she admitted it was a lie. And she apparently had 10 people on the line but my call was picked up instantly? No, I don’t believe it. I’ve never been mad at a practice until now. Incredibly unprofessional and when dealing with people dealing with mental health problems it’s down right dangerous (for the patients wellbeing) and disgusting.

I've been tortured for weeks now, I have not seen the sunlight in years. My life is at hand, they will not let me out, help.

Extremely Dissatisfied

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with a doctor who works at Sunnyside Clinic. I must say that my encounter with this clinic left me feeling extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. From the moment I scheduled my appointment, things went downhill rapidly.

First and foremost, the clinic has a terrible habit of canceling appointments without any prior notice. I had three times my appointment rescheduled with any notice in advance. I cannot express my frustration enough at having my consultation canceled not once, not twice, but a total of three times. Each time, I had rearranged my schedule and made arrangements to ensure I could attend the appointment, only to be let down by the clinic's utter lack of professionalism.

To add the receptionist at Sunnyside were consistently rude and dismissive. I understand that they may deal with a high volume of patients and inquiries, but their attitude was simply unacceptable. They appeared disinterested, unhelpful, and lacked basic courtesy when addressing my concerns regarding the repeated cancellations. It seemed as if they had no regard for the inconvenience caused to patients like myself.

Furthermore, the lack of communication from the clinic regarding these cancellations was appalling. I should have been informed well in advance if there were any changes to my scheduled appointment. Instead, I was left waiting and wasting my time, only to be notified at the last minute that my consultation was canceled THREE TIMES. This level of disregard for patients' time and well-being is inexcusable.

I believe that professionalism and respect are crucial when it comes to medical care, and sadly, these qualities were sorely lacking at Sunnyside Clinic. As a result of my experience, I cannot recommend this doctor or the clinic to anyone seeking reliable and compassionate healthcare. It is disheartening to encounter such substandard service in a field where patients' well-being should be of paramount importance.

I sincerely hope that the management at Sunnyside Clinic takes this review seriously and takes steps to rectify the issues mentioned. Patients deserve better treatment, clear communication, and respect for their time. Until significant improvements are made, I advise potential patients to explore other options for their healthcare needs.

Having been under the care of Sunnyside Clinic for some time now, I feel duly qualified to comment on this medical practice and their wonderful staff.
I live with mental health issues that have been exacerbated by having a stroke within the last year at age 56.
Specifically Dr Ram, who has provided me multiple appointments and at all times been courteous, understanding, patient and importantly consistent. Dr Ram, is also professional and highly knowledgeable and explains matters, rather than simply dictate outcomes.
The "Team Sunnyside" supports in reception and admin equally are caring, helpful and diligent in their duties, making all contacts comfortable and efficient.

Professor Carlos and all the staff at Sunnyside have been wonderful helping my husband they are so caring and committed to doing everything they can to help people we are so grateful thank you Sunnyside.

I was very happy with Prof Zubaran when I was lucky enough to be allocated him during an emergency admission in the private ward of Northern Beaches Hospital. He is a most kind and courteous man and did not attempt to rediagnose me or put me on new, heavy medication. I know my mental health well, having seen quite a lot of psychiatrists across two states I have lived in and had a fair number of hospital stays in the private sector. Without ever setting out to be, and with qualifications as an allied health professional myself, I became an 'expert' in psychiatrists and psychiatric hospitals as I sought to get help.

Prof Zubaran is one of the best I've seen in either NSW or Qld. He is 100% quality. He is knowledgeable and cautious in his approach. I felt so much better after several weeks at Northern Beaches late last year with him in my corner. I am back in Qld and think of him often. I thought of sending him a card expressing all of this, but then thought what is the use of that, I want to help other consumers.

While I was happy to be admitted anywhere I was in such a dreadful state, I would like to recommend to consumers to try Prof Zubaran's other admitting private hospital St John of God Richmond if you don't have compelling reasons to go to Northern Beaches. I went there before Prof Zubaran started working out of there and it is amazing. They are doing a massive upgrade there too. But being in Prof Zubaran's kind and capable hands anywhere is good.

Dr Sathish Thangapandian
if you suffer from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, mood disorders or all of the above and require anti depressant medication of any sort, then stay clear away from this so called psychiatrist Dr Sathish. He will under dose you on the weakest form of medication first, then he will refuse to increase dosages of the medication if it is clearly ineffective to the patient, and then he will let the patient suffer unbearable symptoms while waiting for the long 1 to 2 months period of time that the anti depressants take to possibily work or not. He will offer No anxiety /calmative medicines to off set the waiting period to make the transition
smoother an humane, so he intentionally lets the patient suffers while waiting.he has a fear of prescribing any medication that could lead to dependacy even
if it shows promise of improved symptoms, the man has no concept of real empathy, find a more suitable psychiatrist

I had a very confusing experience here. I previously knew Dr Zubaran from my stay at a public hospital. I spoke to the receptionist about making an appointment. My gp made a referral and faxed it through. I called them back and they said they ‘could not take care of my needs. ’They had previously said they could get me an appointment in December. I have a few physical problems but not enough to warrant this excuse. They rejected my referral and said they had too many people waiting for appointments. They denied Dr Zubaran had worked at the public hospital as well. I asked if they worked with mood disorders and she said some of them do. I got a text message the next day saying they are not accepting new patients. I’m disgusted and shocked! I need a psychiatrist who can help me with my medication. I just don’t understand it.

Reception booked me in for mid June, calls me back 2 weeks later to say the doctor cant see me and that they are looking for another doctor to schedule me with. Save your time and money! Dont go here! Reception is rude and abrupt, hangs the phone up and pretends its a reception issue.

A group of about 20 clinics iv been trying to get into see and still havnt seen any1.sent email with referral and hospital documents 13th of February with all the other clinics no1 gets back to you.on the list of money makers not caring

Please, what ever you do don't come here. I'm not going to whinge or whine but I will say this. I know I have issues and I live with them everyday but life is like that But even I can see that Prof Zubarin lacks the desire to help not because he doesn't want to, it's because he doesn't know how. All the best and stay strong. It does get better.

I was looking up Sunnyside clinic to recommend to a friend who is battling drugs and alcohol and I'm deeply saddened to see these negative reviews. I was an ice addict, alcoholic and had depression when I went to this clinic for treatment. Professor Carlos Zubaran and Marina Knox were both professional, compassionate, kind and empathetic. They helped me put my life back in order with a combination of medication and counseling. I have a young family now and my wife and I are so grateful for the care they showed us and the way they explained things to us during the course of my treatment. I'm saddened by these review because they're misguided and may deter people who are struggling with drugs and alcohol just as I did. I'm reformed now, but I'm always wary of my addictive personality. I do have comfort in knowing there's always help from Marina and Prof.

As a mother caring for my children and battling depression for my husbands loss I am very upset with the service of this clinic, Dr Jag Andepalli diagnosed me with bipolar disorder which i disregard based on my second opinion from across the road at Hornsby Hospital. I would not recommend this clinic for patients who just take your money and label you with a DSM and give you a list of medication to take which have very nasty side effects.

People please be advised do not ever go to this clinic as I have been there trying to seek treatment to cure my depression, instead the Psychiatrist Dr Brent Thomas misdiagnosed me as being diagnosed with Schizophrenia. They will take your money a sabotage you believe me people they are cold hearted staff who enjoy labelling people with wrong DSM so they can make money out of you and assert you are mentally ill.

Very Nasty psychiatrist when he was working at Hornsby Hospital he's all about sabotage and dishonesty. When you say to him your dishonest he cancels your leave for 2 months and keeps say your mentally ill. LIAR

This is not cyber bullying this is freedom of opinion. Do not lie to try to boost your image by falsely claiming we checked our records and write you are not in our system. You are superficially charming while while at the same time you like to subotage people I was a patient of yours and you were dishonest and you gave me prescription medication to take which ruined my physical health. Why would you go to this clinic with dodgy staff who just label you as something. Don’t waste your money people just go to Hornsby hospital across the road they are free of charge and are willing to help you unlike sunny side clinic who take your money and label you as something which is of course a disadvantage.

Dr Gopi Illawa is an is a terrible Psychiatrist all he cares about is just prescribing prescription drugs with nasty side effects, don't go to this clinic you will waste your money and harm yourself from the prescription drugs they recommend you to take.
